Ex-officer Holtzclaw, whose father is white and mother Japanese, was accused of assaulting or raping 13 women, all black, while he was on the job. Court records identify his race as "Asian or Pacific Islander."
The 29 year old Holtzclaw sobbed as the judge read the charges and associated verdicts. Though acquitted of 18 of the 36 charges four of the first degree rape charges carry a possible life sentence.
