We don't want to put words in our President's mouth. But he's saying what most of us have been saying all along.

He said (paraphrased), that Trump is saying the same things as the rest of the republican candidates -- just in more interesting ways.

I'd say that this applies to most if not the entire republican party. The racism is no longer dog whistle. The only real change Trump brings to the table, in the opinion of many, is that he's thrown the dog whistle away.
