DOVE AD IS MORE OF THE SAME-OLE SAME-OLE

I was going to watch the entire commercial before I made a decision on how offensive it was. But I decided I don't care what DOVE meant or if there was a "genuine" difference in the messaging THIS TIME.

White people have to live with the results of their racist history with black folks. Their inability to keep track of all mountains and mountains worth of racist crap they've pulled on us is their problem.

HOWEVER, this black-to-white soap thing has been done to death and in the RECENT past too, so I'm going to have to call bullsh*t on the "we didn't know" crap.

The fact that nobody in their company called bullsh*t before it was made public is even more important. It's very telling about the leadership inside whatever corporation runs DOVE.

They're all white OR
POC white-wanna-be-s OR
POC who are white-appeasing,
OR are POCs with no authority what-so-ever.

In a country that is one third people of color, that's ridiculous.

As for my original point? There's simply no way that nobody noticed how white-racist-ly FAMILIAR this theme was. Anybody below the age of 15 claiming to not see it is dumber than a brick.

Benefit of the doubt, in regards to this level of white-playin-stupid, are over.

NEXT!!!

PSSST! I've seen the entire commercial now.And I was right. I don't care.

Update 10 10 17: This commercial is from China(?) but this black-people-are-dirty-or-dirt-itself theme has been seen in the U.S. over and over and over again in the not so distant past.

White people don't get to forget OR tell black people to "get over it" especially when 57% of them voted to have overt white supremacy make a comeback last November.
