JOHN LEWIS DOES IT AGAIN

After a week in which news of President Donald Trump’s plans to attend the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum set off a firestorm, Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant’s office announced late Thursday night that 
Trump will not make 
a public appearance at the event. 
That’s a change from what Bryant announced Wednesday [yeaaaa!]
On Thursday, multiple planned special guests pulled out of the event, including Congressmen John Lewis (D-GA) and Bennie Thompson (D-MS), who called Trump’s presence an “insult” to the state’s civil rights heroes, and former Mississippi Governor Ray Mabus, who described Trump as an “overt racist.”

The White House criticized Lewis for not joining the president to honor civil rights heroes...apparently having forgotten that Lewis survived KKK endorsed white supremacist elected officials during the Civil Rights movement too
