I'm not into sports.
I don't know about these things
Serena wins. I cheer. That's the end of it.
But I found an article written by someone who knows what's what. There are numbers. I can count. It's easy to compare Serena Williams' numbers to Roger Federer's numbers. Serena's the best. Now. Not tomorrow. Not if she wins X next year or if she wins Y this year. She's the best now, period. And she won a match while she was pregnant too. Let's see second best Roger Federer do that.
Judge for yourself.

So, if one was to pick one over the other between [Roger Federer and Serena Williams], who would be chosen?
Whose career is better?
Well in a match up of the two it is pretty clear who would win: Roger is faster...and has more powerful strokes.
But in a match up of their success? It seems pretty close, but I have to say Serena takes the cake and here is why:

But in a match up of their success? It seems pretty close, but I have to say Serena takes the cake and here is why:
1. If one compares their Slam hauls past age 30, Serena has a 9-2 edge.
This means that while the new generation or younger players improve, Serena has been able to hold them off and remain dominant despite her age. Roger has two Slams to his credit, but he has largely faded in his thirties. “One more Slam’ is something we hear of Federer, while for Serena, this is not the case.

2. In winning percentage, Serena leads 85.7% to Roger’slayed 81.6%.
Both are exceptional winning percentages, but with a higher percentage, the ratio of matches won-to-lost increases exponentially. This means that Serena has one less loss per 20 matches than Federer. It may not sound like much, but
Serena’s won-loss ratio is almost 6:1 while
Federer’s is just over 4.4:1.
This means that Roger averages between a semi-final and quarter-final visit every tournament while Serena averages the final. This means that overall she has been more consistent during her career...
