They support white male supremacy because they can marry into it's power.

Married white women have the secondary status assigned to them by their husbands. And the unmarried ones are too foolish to realize they don't have the same level of status as white men or married white women -- which is likely why a percentage of single white women like to call the police on black folks for stupid stuff -- so they can prove to themselves their whiteness is worth just as much as the next white person. 

At the very least, calling white cops on black people proves that they, as single white women, have higher status than black people. And this is very valuable to some white people. It must be. They've been seeking confirmation of white skin status for centuries. 

For example: Poor white people fought for slave owning whites for the very same reason -- to prove white skin status-- despite the fact that they were kinda fighting to slit their own throats. 

I mean, but for fighting to hold on to some kind of superiority, how hard is it to figure out that fighting for somebody else's right to have free labor is not good for you as a laborer or a farmer in competition?

BLACK MEN

This explains why so many black men (and the pick-me-s that follow them over any cliff) had a hard time seeing Killmonger as a villain in BLACK PANTHER.  Killmonger wasn't wrong on the facts. But he was dead wrong on the solution, which was rise up and take the white man's place as top oppressor.

A large percentage of non-feminist variety black men as well as the ashy-s and the hoteps, all of them want to replace the white man as top dog. 

And, lately, what that has meant is that they want the right to rape and pillage their own women....same as white men do; 

This is exactly what many black men mean to communicate to black women every single time we say #MuteRKelly and they respond by throwing some white man out in front of Kelly by saying something like, "What about Harvey Weinstein?"

And you know Kelly is being defended when they throw Weinstein's name out precisely because it's so lazy a choice. With all the white men who have skated on sex crimes, the black women and black men talking about "What about Weinstein?" have conveniently forgotten that this man has already lost his business and is being ground up (hopefully) by the justice system as we speak. 

Other than losing his record deal with SONY-RCA, R. Kelly is just walking around embarrassed -- instead of having a real chance at real prison time.

Actually, I'd make a correction to Angela's quote if I could. I'd say the weakest links in overcoming oppression in this country are white women, black men, and also black women who defend black men at any cost. 
Maybe Angela Davis would change this quote if she could too, especially now that she's seen the reaction to the SURVIVING R KELLY documentary. Black response to that television series has shown just how little black girls are seen --through the prisms of black patriarchy* and internalized-racism-- as over-sexed and lacking innocence by our own people, including black women.

     With a fluffy red cap and a bulging bag slung over his shoulder, Obama delivered presents (and more than a few gasps) to the young patients at Children’s National hospital in Northwest Washington on Wednesday.
     First on Obama’s list was a group of patients 4 and up who were making snowflakes in one of the hospital’s playrooms. After the excitement died down, the former president handed out jigsaw puzzles (which were his grandmother’s favorite, he told the crowd), Hot Wheels sets, remote-control cars, and glittery nail polish, among other goodies collected by Obama and his staffers. Hey, the guy knows his audience.
     “I know they will be talking about it for years to come,” said Kurt Newman, chief executive and president of Children’s National Health System. “At such a busy time of year, when no one wants to be in the hospital, his natural warmth lifted the spirits of those kids, their parents and of each staff member he met along the way.”

THE FAILURE OF MICHAEL B JORDAN TO SEPARATE ARTIST FROM THE ART OF RAISING DION

I don't remember what Michael B Jordan specifically said 2 to 5 years back that made black women so angry he felt he had to defend himself by saying something like he can't dislike black women because his mother is a black woman. And I don't care.

But where there is smoke, there is fire. And black women have seen this particular smoke before.

Despite some black female prayers that Jordan was dating Lupita N'yongo earlier this year, most of us knew that it was only a matter of time before we saw him continue to step out with white woman after white woman after nearly-white woman.

Within the last few weeks, Jordan has been accused of throwing a yacht party in Italy with his white girlfriend where there wasn't a black woman in sight.

There could be a pale black woman outside this shot. But I doubt it. And it doesn't even matter because (ha-ha) Killmonger's lack of regard for black women had already been well established.

But this isn't about that.

This is about the fact that SOME black men in Hollywood who date outside the race **OR** pale-mixed-race looking women almost exclusively are not doing so based on love -- which does have some affect on the rest of us...because you really can't separate the art from the artist.

In fact, I can only think of two or three black men dating outside the race in Hollywood, Music and Sports who actually do or say anything positive toward black women who are dark-skinned and immediately identifiable as black as opposed to mixed-race-black.

A man named Dennis Liu created the comic RAISING DION.

And in the comic book itself and the youtube video that he created to advertise(?) the comic book, the boy and his mother look like medium to dark-skinned black people.

Michael B Jordan appeared to have a bone marrow deep colorism problem before he was involved in RAISIHNG DION. That is, it appers he has a bone-marrow deep inability to see beauty in anything that isn't a white woman or in close proximity to a white woman. And so it shouldn't be shocking that this is oozing out of what he creates.

I'm guessing that he chooses the women he finds beautiful FIRST, then casts everybody else around them -- because you don't see too many light-skinned black males cast very often either. 

(As dark skin is associated with aggressiveness in the patriarchal-ly racist USA and aggressiveness is seen as "good" in men but not women, I'm guessing this is why behind no dark-women/ no light men wanted in Hollywood)

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE FAILURE OF ARTIST TO SEPARATE SELF FROM ART 
Nate Parker's disregard for all women was made crystal clear when he tried to defend himself regarding rape charges he beat when he was in college

And when I finally saw his movie on HBO --BIRTH OF A NATION -- a movie I'd been looking forward to for more than a year before I heard him cry for himself over what sounded like legit rape charges-- it shouldn't have been surprising that black women were used as props to make the black men look like heroes in BIRTH OF A NATION. 

Gabrielle Union's character didn't even speak. His wife's rape was placed in the story as an affront to his manhood, her character barely made two dimensional, much less three.

A THIRD EXAMPLE OF THE FAILURE OF ARTIST TO SEPARATE SELF FROM ART

Within the last year or John Ridley (12 YEARS A SLAVE), produced a series about how the Black Power Movement played out in Great Britain. There was a love story at the center of his story but Ridley didn't cast a black woman as the co-star 

When he was pressed on this point -- and on the fact that he DID cast a dark-skinned black woman as a traitor in one of the first episodes -- he cried and told his critical black women in the auditorium where he was speaking that he wanted to show/teach the audience that many different races contributed to that resistance 

...and he wanted to make sure his wife felt included.

Who a person is comes out in what they create. In my mind, this is pretty close to THE reason for creativity's existence. I don't know who came up with "separate the art from the artist" But that's a bunch of crap from where I sit. 

Now...DO NOT HEAR ME CYBER-SAY that every black man who hooks up with a white woman or light woman is looking for a status symbol in her skin color as she hangs on his arm.

DO NOT HEAR ME CYBER-SAY every black man who is pictured with a white woman or light woman is just using her.

But black men are being bombarded by white as beautiful day-in and day-out. We all are. And well before television and movies ever existed whites were finding ways to tell blacks that they were better, stronger, faster, and more beautiful.  

And WE ALL should KNOW that some black men believed white people so deeply that they accepted Miss Anne's invitation to have sex between the years of 1621 and 1968 --at the literal risk of their own necks. 

Some black men like the status symbols of manhood so much -- and that's what a white woman or light woman becomes when she is sexually objectified-- that 1 out of 8 of black men actually voted for Donald Trump.

All that this 13% of black men can see when they look at him is that he is rich, large and in charge -- his virulent racism be damned if they can find hand holds enough to climb he white supremacy and come out on top as a "real man."  

 And follows is just as bad in my mind

Currently, too large a section of black women are so deep into the competition to get a limited edition, black man's attention that they are wearing waist-length straight weaves -- which aren't cheap to get or maintain. (I'll wear whatever hair style I want, when I want. But when you do that 24/7/365 instead of a couple of months out of the year, it might be more than just fashion choice. Just a thought)

Furthermore, black women (and latino and asian women) are also seeking out skin bleaching creams; and they are doing this for logical if bad reasons. These wanna-be-pale sistahs know they cannot be chosen as status symbols unless they are as close to white women in appearance as possible.    

For some poor women without much education, being dark skinned has been so painful that they are taking pills to try an ensure their children won't face the same discrimination and pain they themselves suffered -- from their own people, from other black people before they even have to deal with white people.

All of this together means that it would be foolish of us, as black people, to NOT LOOK and see if a black person's "dating preferences" aren't more than that, that colorist motives aren't seeping out in the black images he or she is producing for black consumption.

I don't care who some of these black men were dating BEFORE they were rich and famous. The O J Simpons and Bill Cosbys and Michael B Jordans of this world are sometimes unleashed as who they truly are only when they get enough money that they feel they don't have to answer to anybody.

When black women saw Michael B Jordan's dating habits as a possible problem, he shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near RAISING DION.

#ListenToBlackWomen has more than one use.

I'm sure this project is going to go forward and be successful. But to me that's the problem.

COSBY, A DIFFERENT WORLD, MY WIFE AND KIDS, BLACKISH, and GROWNISH all started off with casting bi-racial girls as the sexy "black" teenage daughters that the father has to guard. Most of us didn't notice this at all -- and have STILL made no connection between that -- what our minds are being fed through black entertainment-- to what black men prefer in a mate once they get a little money in their pocket, which in turn influences black girls "fashion" choices.

Again, when that colorism-brainwashed black man gets rich in Hollywood he gets to feed us more of the same colorism his own mind was destroyed by.

RAISING DION may make a lot of people happy and rich. But it's going to be another successful looking fail for black folks and especially black children...again.

Before the game, reigning MVP Stephen Curry once again hoisted the Maurice Podoloff Trophy recognizing him as the league’s most-heralded player. As the glee gently took hold in the locker room and spilled into the hallway outside, I spoke to Curry and most of his family —
...But there is a vexing issue I didn’t raise with Curry and his family — an issue that his celebrity has shined new light on: the difference one’s visibility makes to the race, and to the larger world, if one is light-skinned or dark-skinned...Suspicion surrounds him because of his light skin, and because he’s been lauded by both the NBA and media establishments. 

The subliminal message has become explicit: Curry is a brother we may not be able to embrace because the powers that be embrace him too

“Light, bright and damned near white” is an expression that captures the superior social appeal of fair-skinned blacks, who were believed to be biologically and culturally closer to white culture. Lighter-skinned blacks were deemed to be smarter and more culturally refined; darker blacks were believed to be dumber and cruder.

Blacks have often internalized in our minds and cultures the vicious stereotypes associated with skin color. We have often circulated harmful beliefs about ourselves that are tied to skin tone: deferring to some blacks because their skin is lighter, demonizing other blacks because their shade is darker.

I remember several years ago speaking at a higher education conference where I was praised by a black attendee for being much lighter in person than I appeared on television. 

I argued in a CNN documentary on black America that I thought my imprisoned brother Everett, equally as bright as me, but darker-skinned, wasn’t nearly as encouraged in his studies as I was. 

And I witnessed firsthand how whites, and many blacks, too, disparaged my blue-black father, Everett Sr., for no other reason than his dark skin.

Intraracial politics of color can have an opposite, if not equally punishing, effect. 

The resentment by darker blacks of the perceived and quite real advantages accorded to lighter blacks has sometimes led to a wholesale repudiation of all fairer-skinned blacks. 

There is, however, a big difference between asking for racial transparency in light privilege, and the unvarying treatment of fairer-skinned blacks as automatically guilty of exploiting their status.

When discussing and thinking about colorism, we as black people have to deliberately have to deliberately access our double consciousness.

That is, we have to separate how we as black people are reacting to the reality of a light-skinned person's preferential treatment based on his or her proximity to whiteness. But we also have to be aware of, and separate, a white power broker's preference for whiter-looking black folks from how that whiter-looking black person receives that preferential treatment.

I swear I've actually considered standing up, planting my hands on the table at the restaurant, leaning forward, and opening my mouth to let out a primal scream loud enough to blow his hair straight.

POLAR OPPOSITES ON RACE BUT BROTHERS-IN-ARMS REGARDING WOMEN

He was known as the Galveston Giant—a boxer who fought his way toward the first world heavyweight title held by an African-American. But in 1912, Jack Johnson became something else: a wanted man. Accused of violating the Mann Act, which forbade transporting a woman across state lines for “immoral purposes,” [Johnson]’s relationships with white women got him in trouble with the law.

Now, 72 years after his death, President Trump has pardoned Johnson. The pardon took place during an Oval Office ceremony during which Trump referred to Johnson as enduring “what many view as a racially-motivated injustice.” President Obama’s administration had considered pardoning Johnson, too, but declined to do so due to allegations he physically abused women...

In the past whenever I saw anything about Jack Johnson, I usually turned the page pretty quickly.

Regardless of any successes Johnson had, no matter how many times he told the white man who wanted to put a boot on his neck to go screw himself, the fact remains that this man was addicted to white skin on women like a crack addict loves cocaine.

Don't get it twisted. This man wasn't arrested for interracial dating. Jack Johnson's case isn't an earlier version of  THE LOVING CASE which helped overturn racist miscegenation laws. Johnson got arrested for relentlessly chasing a significant number of white women.

This debate is not about who loves who or what their skin color difference might be. This is about a black man screwing white women as a symbol of his own, individual, personal, racial freedom.

And according to a Paula Giddings book I read,Jack Johnson wasn't first to use white women in this way.

According to Giddings, one of the reasons the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) fell apart was because white women saw black men as their "freedom" from gender oppression while black men saw white women as freedom from "racial oppression"  

Needless to say, this caused fractures in the black solidarity. Eventually SNCC would oust white people from the organization. The re-alignments based on sex are rarely ever mentioned as part of the reason.   

And I don't know that this has changed much for some of the simple minded among us in the black community

However, the reason a lot of most men, including black men, see nothing wrong with a "successful" man collecting women to screw like one might collect  expensive watches is because a lot of men still see:

1) women as objects
2) success as getting rich enough to be able to do whatever you want. 

And for way too many black men, over the decades, it appears that being able to screw a white women if they want was their most important freedom.

I mean, it would have to be a black man's most important freedom to have sex with white women and date them in 1912.  Lynching was all the rage for white people in that era. Furthermore, the KKK wasn't pretending to be some fringe hate group back then either. It was damn near a political party.

Yes, Jack Johnson went to jail on trumped up charges created by white supremacists. However, as it was 1912 when he was going through all these shenanigans. I'm surprised he didn't die for this little white women addiction of his. However, he was "only" in jail for 10 months.  Johnson wound up dying later in a car crash on his way to see another boxer fight.

But you know what? I could be completely off the mark as to Johnson's motives because it also occurs to me that Jack Johnson may have screwed white women the way soldiers invade a country and violate the women of that foreign nation.

Not that Johnson raped anybody, but the violation of  "their

women" is standard operating procedure for men when they invade other countries because they want to send the men that they are defeating a unmistakable message. And that message is,

"You are powerless to stop me." 

Part of white men raping black women who were slaves was a kind of messaging between groups of men too.

I explain all this to day that Jack Johnson dating white women --in a very public manner--  and having sex with them could have been his way of telling the white men of 1912,

"I'm putting it to your women and you can't do a thing about it."

...Except white men could do something about it. And they did.

White men put him in jail. But his "only" being there for 10 months in early 1900s tells me that yesterday and today aren't that different. Johnson must have been making money for a white man somewhere.

Making money for a white men is the only way I can figure out a black man lets it be commonly known that he sleeps with white women (or rapes white and light women in Cosby's case) between 1880 and 1980 and isn't put to death for it...or at least put in prison for life.

Even so, Jack Johnson pushed back against the white establishment at every turn to let some black folks tell it. Maybe he did --except when he was chasing white women for sex. Or maybe he was just being a simple-minded sexist man-child who believed that talent, success, and power means you do what you want when you want to whoever you want, with white women being used as trophy f*ck buddies instead of trophy wives.

TRUMP & ALL THE WIVES HE REPORTEDLY CHEATED ON

Regardless of Johnson's true motives, he undermined his own black legacy with addiction to sex with white women

- whether his wanting to have sex with white women was actually  adesire to consume and get close to whiteness in an intimate way 

OR 

- it was a display of hatred for white men in a very Eldridge Cleaver sort of way, minus the cowardice of rape.

Either way, Jack Johnson sounds like something I'd scrape off the bottom of my shoe, much like Aget Evil Orange.

The two them, Trump and Johnson, both appear to be men that use what we now call "Toxic Masculinity" to define their success.

"I'm rich and powerful 

so now I can do what I want 

to anybody I want."

This is a terrible way to view and use power. But this is a different story for a different day.

In the meantime, I think we should all find it virtually impossible to defend any black man who beats women --especially if the wife he beat was a black woman.  In this case, however, it is even more important to me that some black folks are trying to get me to care about a black man who likely wouldn't spit on a black woman if she were on fire.

Sorry. That's not happening. That's never happening. I don't care how big his personal successes were.

Besides, Trump and Johnson may be on opposite sides of the fence when it comes to race and racism. And black folks are proud of that, as they should be. But it seems to me Trump and Johnson are on the very same side of the fence when it comes to sexism, misogyny and Toxic Masculinity

--which is why Trump liked this ugly man enough to pardon him despite Johnson being black.

All of this is why I'm proud of President Obama for declining to pardoned Jack Johnson. Barack Obama is married to a black woman he respects and raising daughters he expects other men to respect.  As he is a black feminist father I would have expected nothing less from him.

One day black men (and Pick Me-s that follow them over a cliff) are going to go as silent on Jack Johnson as they are on their ex-Hero Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver. 

In fact, I think it's happening already. Congratulations to all of us because I don't see nearly as many black people celebrating Johnson's pardon as I do white people in the news patting themselves on the back for demonstrating their racial fairness.

In the meantime, since there's no such thing as being pro-black when you only care about half the race, I'm going to sit here being glad that it was the latest white supremacist president that wound up pardoning Jack Johnson.

Some black folks can celebrate with Trump and Trump Buddy Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) if they want to. All I can say to that is, "Good luck and goodbye." But, I'm putting Jack Johnson right back in that box marked "All Your Skinfolk Are Not Your Kinfolk."

AN INDIVIDUAL BLACK MAN'S CHOICE DOES NOT MATTER

Whether or not Donald Glover, Kanye, Nate Parker only get erections around white and light women is irrelevant to the lives of 98% of black women. 

But the fact that black men are as colorblind as some white people when it comes to seeing a pattern among black men --as far as who they choose to love and partner with once they get rich-- shouldn't be.

The fact that a fairly large percentage of black men will gaslight black women by telling black women that they do not see the obvious, when it comes to the behavior patterns of high profile black men, should be of the utmost importance to black women 

-- at least the ones who still value the preservation of the black community because denial is destroying us from the inside.

This discussion of Donald Glover's love life isn't really about Donald Glover or white women at all, but about the disrespecting and devaluing black women whose looks are not in close proximity to whiteness and also about the devaluing of black women in general


As most of us know by now, BLACK LIVES MATTER was created by three black women but black women are not raised up by the black community. This shows a breathtaking level of disrespect and devaluation of black women all by itself.

When black women die at the hands of police their names are not raised up in black social media. Therefore these dead black women do not make the national news. I recently heard about a black woman named Wakiesha Wilson that was killed while in police custody in 2016. And I only know of Wilson now because her aunt threw her ashes on the LAPD's police chief a few days ago. 

Just like Sandra Bland, the police are saying Wakiesha Wilson committed suicide -- and they know this despite 20 critical minutes of police video having come-up-missin'. But I hadn't heard of her name until a few days ago - a whole two years after her death.

The only reason we all know about Sandra Bland, from coast to coast, is because #SayHerName was created to bring black women back into the #BlackLivesMatter movement. And so far it looks like Bland is one of the few black women to benefit from #SayHerName. 

Black women killed by police are still being e-raced and forgotten.    

Nine out of ten black people still don't know who Miriam Carey is despite a predominantly white congress cheering upon hearing about her death. 

The black community doesn't care about black women the way it does about black men.

Black men (and their Pick-Me-s) have been defending R. Kelly's sexual abuse of black female children for decades -- calling them heaux that know what they are doing when they are as young as 13 and 14 years of age. 

 The black community doesn't care about black girl children the way it does about black men. 

And part of that caring about black men more is defending the black community against negative information on black men. And the obvious pattern of black men seeking white and light women once they've "made it" is as negative as it gets

All of this is why it is not shocking the black men and way too many non-feminist black women are pretending to be colorblind when it comes to seeing 50, 60 or 70 percent of black male actors, black male directors and and black male athletes have white, asian, latina and occasionally light skinned black women  INSTEAD OF the usual array of black women that 8% of black men with ordinary incomes marry. 

Again, you cannot tell what the deal is with a rich black man just because he has chosen a white or light woman to be his partner. Again, I might date a white man tomorrow. Who knows? But the gap between 12% black men with ordinary incomes marrying-out and 50, 60, or 70%  percent of rich black men marrying-out should tell you that a fair percentage of the rich black men are NOT marrying for love but for the woman's proximity to whiteness.

Even so, don't get it twisted. Black men aren't the only ones subject to brainwashing by fathers, brothers, television, billboards, and movies.

Once upon a time, I found a website that showed (predominantly) white baseball player wives. (Can't believe I can't find it anymore) Out of approximately two dozen women, 22 of them were blond with the same body shape and mostly the same face. The women looked so much a like that I can't believe these white men don't run up on the wrong woman when they come out of the locker room after a game.  

Black men are the same as white men in this way: 

• They look at what the the next guy has a status symbol and he wants the same thing, slightly better because everything is a competition in Patriarchy World. That is, most of these white trophy wives are simply status symbols, a Rolex with legs that talks and has sex on command.

For so long as white trophy wife doesn't display any signs of independent thought for at least two to five years, this objectified woman is a woman who is financially set for life.  She, as "the gold digger," is the usual counterpart to the mediocre to repulsive male "gold spreader." So, I ain't mad at any of them -- not in a world where even a white woman make 20 to 25% less than a man just because she's female.   

So if white men decide (in the year 2050 or so) that the fashionable trophy wife to have is a black woman who looks black, I'm thinking the same section of weak-minded, rich black men will want black women too. 

I think this is a reasonable assumption to make about the competition-based-mind looking for a walking-talking status symbol. Don't you? 

In the final analysis, black women should be concerned and upset by the pattern of black high profile black men marrying out --even if we do not want their white supremacy damaged asses back in the fold. 

Despite a black man's marrying-out or marrying-light is not reliably indicative of internalized racism, it's not always indicative of nothing either.  And a lot of them should be seen as sitting inside the black community, spreading a mental and emotional disease to young black boys that crushes young black girls.

While you cannot tell what's in a black man's heart by looking at his current white partner, you can say something is going on when an individual black man decides to repeatedly choose white or light partners. 

AN INDIVIDUAL BLACK MALE'S PATTERN MATTERS

(especially if he's a content creator or a father)

It's very possible that repeatedly choosing multiple white and light partners should always be seen as the tip of an anti-black iceberg. Why? Because, as quiet as it is kept, there is no way to be genuinely pro-black while supporting and being concerned about black men only. 

More importantly, there's no way for ordinary black folk
who pretend to be colorblind
when it comes to seeing this obvious pattern
among the black male one-percenters
in Hollywood and in sports
to raise black boys up into black men
who respect and value black women.

Yeah. You bet I'm angry about the perpetuation of white supremacist values and colorism in the black community.  A lot of black women are. And the silence around black men chasing after light and white women has been deafening for literally centuries.

Did you know that Frederick Douglass brought, not one but two, white women into his house while his black wife lived there? Douglass' daughter wrote a book where she said white abolitionists could barely hide their hatred for her mother

One of these white women, Ottilie Assing, had a years long crush on him (an affair many say) and she left him her considerable money after she committed suicide.  That black wife would be the one you never hear about, Anna Douglass, the one who helped him escape slavery....the one he never managed to teach to read.  

And reading between the lines of some history books on Ida B Wells, he threw her under the bus on more than one occasion trying to preserve his relationship with white suffragists (the original sell out white feminists) 

There's no way to know know for sure, but if we ever get access to a time machine, we might find out that Frederick Douglass -- despite the great things he achieved -- was the original f*ckboi.

The thing I do know for sure is this: For as long as we

• pretend black men didn't invent the hair relaxer; 
• pretend that black women haven't been straightening their hair and bleaching their skin trying to be attractive to black men; 
• pretend that most of the black women of the civil rights movement were pale only because these were the only black women black men really see or listen to (you can see this on social media to this day); 
• pretend to not see black men choose white and light women as soon as they can afford to buy one

...we are doomed to keep producing black boys who grow up to be black men who cannot and will not value black women. 

For so long as black men, and therefore most of the black community, do not value black women the way it should, 

1. STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON casting choices will continue to be denied as important (and also reflective of real black male values in the 1990s).  
2. The John Ridleys in Hollywood will also continue to tell black history via vehicles like GUERILLA that e-race black women. 
3. And, most importantly black boys will continue to be raised adoring Kanye, R.Kelly, and Nate Parker simply because they are rich and appear to have "made it" -- no matter what kind of garbage they pour into the minds of black boys and girls.  

All this focus on defending Donald Glover (a.k.a. Childish Gambino) has revealed --yet one more time- that the black community is a house divided by sexism, misogyny and internalized racism.  And a house divided against itself cannot stand even if the white racists pounding on our doors from the outside evaporate tomorrow.

Somebody call Bill Duke and tell him that his next documentary on colorism needs to be named DARK BOYS.
