WHITE WOMENAll you have to do is look at every single one supporting the GOP (Grand Ole Party) Take an especially hard look at the ones sitting behind Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court.

They support white male supremacy because they can marry into it's power.

Married white women have the secondary status assigned to them by their husbands. And the unmarried ones are too foolish to realize they don't have the same level of status as white men or married white women -- which is likely why a percentage of single white women like to call the police on black folks for stupid stuff -- so they can prove to themselves their whiteness is worth just as much as the next white person. 

At the very least, calling white cops on black people proves that they, as single white women, have higher status than black people. And this is very valuable to some white people. It must be. They've been seeking confirmation of white skin status for centuries. 

For example: Poor white people fought for slave owning whites for the very same reason -- to prove white skin status-- despite the fact that they were kinda fighting to slit their own throats. 

I mean, but for fighting to hold on to some kind of superiority, how hard is it to figure out that fighting for somebody else's right to have free labor is not good for you as a laborer or a farmer in competition?

BLACK MEN

This explains why so many black men (and the pick-me-s that follow them over any cliff) had a hard time seeing Killmonger as a villain in BLACK PANTHER.  Killmonger wasn't wrong on the facts. But he was dead wrong on the solution, which was rise up and take the white man's place as top oppressor.

A large percentage of non-feminist variety black men as well as the ashy-s and the hoteps, all of them want to replace the white man as top dog. 

And, lately, what that has meant is that they want the right to rape and pillage their own women....same as white men do; 

This is exactly what many black men mean to communicate to black women every single time we say #MuteRKelly and they respond by throwing some white man out in front of Kelly by saying something like, "What about Harvey Weinstein?"

And you know Kelly is being defended when they throw Weinstein's name out precisely because it's so lazy a choice. With all the white men who have skated on sex crimes, the black women and black men talking about "What about Weinstein?" have conveniently forgotten that this man has already lost his business and is being ground up (hopefully) by the justice system as we speak. 

Other than losing his record deal with SONY-RCA, R. Kelly is just walking around embarrassed -- instead of having a real chance at real prison time.

Actually, I'd make a correction to Angela's quote if I could. I'd say the weakest links in overcoming oppression in this country are white women, black men, and also black women who defend black men at any cost. 
Maybe Angela Davis would change this quote if she could too, especially now that she's seen the reaction to the SURVIVING R KELLY documentary. Black response to that television series has shown just how little black girls are seen --through the prisms of black patriarchy* and internalized-racism-- as over-sexed and lacking innocence by our own people, including black women.

FAUX FORGIVENESS AND VOTING IN A SOCIETY DOMINATED BY MALE SUPREMACY

"...I’ve admitted in the past, my own memories are often unreliable. That’s hardly unusual. I’ve written about an old friend who told my son, “Jack, when I tell you stories about your father and me, I am never intentionally lying, but I cannot say for certain that any of the stories are true.”

But back to Kavanaugh. As his interrogators dredged up his past, it seemed evident that he and his high school pals were big drinkers. His enemies even brought forth a letter he had written to his pals before they rented a condo at the ocean. Somebody should warn the neighbors, he wrote, that we are “loud, obnoxious drunks with prolific pukers among us.”

What’s more, the buddy who was supposedly with him during the alleged assault later wrote a book, “Wasted: Tales of a Gen X Drunk.” It was about his high school days.

Still, in very emotional testimony, Kavanaugh denied that he was ever a big drinker. Never got really drunk. Never blacked out.

In a more tolerant society, he could have been more measured: “I did not have my head on straight when I was 17. I was entitled. I went to an exclusive private school. I was smart and an athlete, one of the popular kids. We went to country club parties and we rented condos on the ocean. Imagine that."

In a society less dominated by male supremacy, a boy or man laying his body down on top of a girl or woman groping her as he attempts to take her clothes would be an obvious rape attempt.

But that's not the America we're living in.

If the writer's daughters, nieces, grand daughters, and grand nieces go to college there's a one in four chance they'll experience what we all know Kavanaugh did to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford OR a fully executed rape if the girl children in his life aren't lucky enough to be wearing a one piece swim suit the boy-man laying on top of them can't get past.

The writer should "imagine that" instead.

And if rape or attempted rape really happens to one of the four girls he cares about, the writer should then talk this faux forgiveness with his girl child or his barely out of childhood girl--somebody he REALLY cares about -- right after that boy has laid on top of her and tried to grind his erection into her while stripping her naked, reduce it to "groping" --which I can tell you from personal experience is still a terrifying sexual assault.

What's even worse, only a man could think a woman could forget the name of a person she knew beforehand when that same person attempts to rape her at a later date. And such an empathy deficient man would only utter this nonsensical crap to a woman.

I mean, can you imagine a man named "John," anywhere on the planet, saying to another man named "Mike" something along the lines of "Hey Mike maybe you just got confused about who got mad at you and cut your hand off out of spite? Maybe it wasn't Sam. After all, it was a long time ago."

Only a man could equate forgetting the details of childhood escapades with remembering which one of the known boys in your neighborhood sexually assaulted you. And when I say "only a man...." I mean, I don't think the most brain-dead, anti-feminist woman could come up with such a false equivalency, not unless she was a pick-me trying to hold on to a man that barely tolerates her.

Moreover, remembering the-who is not the same thing as remembering whether his hand went up under your shirt first or down your pants first.

Remembering somebody you already know after they've sexually assaulted you is also unlike identifying the facial features of a stranger who rapes or attempts to rape you. Most women --whether they try to fight during a rape or not-- are busy trying to will themselves to another planet, to another freaking dimension. That's not conducive to remembering a strangers face.

And, strangers look like one another. The older I get, the most I see how many people can look like one another. That's why you should be frightened to death if you ever find yourself in a police lineup.

But when you know Brett Kavanaugh already and Brett Kavanaugh attempts to rape you, you don't get confused and think maybe Sam Jones did it instead.

This faux kindness, faux logic, and faux reasonableness in this article is just a way of being dismissive. And it confirms my earlier point:

Everybody knows Brett Kavanaugh attempted to rape Christine Blasey Ford. Those on the right, the left, the center, and the independents, they all know.

The male supremacists in each group, whether they be male or female, just don't want to call what Kavanaugh did "attempted rape" because they've been conditioned to think most sexual assaults are no big deal --not until the penis has actually penetrated the vagina by force; and even then "a rape" needs to have happened in an alley by a stranger, hopefully a black or brown skinned stranger, in order for the event to be truly identified as "rape."

Do not be confused. This article didn't have one damn thing to do with kindness or being reasonable. This was likely an attempt to justify his own attempted rapes or the attempted rapes of friends.

That's the only way you can mistake what Christine Blasey Ford said for "groping" which, again, is still a serious sexual assault. When women start reaching around from behind and grabbing strange men's penises and attempting to either yank them off and bend them in half, maybe men will get it. For now, the only way women stop girls from being collateral damage in boy's coming of age stories is for women to get half the political and legal power in this country. And not just any women either. Feminists have to get half the power in this country.

Women, white women in particular, who derive their power from men and are happy with the feeling of this second hand power are not going to stop calling sexual assaults a boy's right of passage either. They've told us this. It's time to believe them.

So vote. Vote in every election you can. Your state representatives are the key to controlling what police and judges do. Your congressmen and senators, they determine what a president can or cannot do; determine which judges will or will not be confirmed.

Vote.

One day, when feminist women have enough power, we will change the laws. Then ten times as many girls and women will feel safe reporting the Brett Kavanaughs to the police for level 1, level 2, or level 3 sexual assault--OR-- if no touching is involved women will even feel safe reporting the Les Moonves-es of the world for a misdemeanor level 1, level 2, or level 3 sexual harassment charge.

But we cannot create these multi-layer, misdemeanor and felony, sexual harassment and sexual assault laws and enforce them until we break the patriarchy, until we reduce the male supremacy. And we cannot do that unless we vote. In most states you can still register to vote between October 22 and October 30th. It feels counter-intuitive to suggest that straight black men as a whole possess any sort of privilege—particularly the type of privilege created for and protected by whiteness. In America, we are near or at the bottom in every relevant metric determining quality of life. Our arrest and incarceration rates, our likelihood of dying a violent death, our likelihood of graduating high school and attending college, our employment rates, our average net worth, our likelihood of surviving past 70—I could continue, but the point is clear.

But assessing our privilege (or lack thereof) on these facts considers only our relationship with whiteness and with America. Intraracially, however, our relationship to and with black women is not unlike whiteness’s relationship to us. In fact, it’s eerily similar.

• We’re the ones for whom the first black president created an entire initiative to assist and uplift. 
• We’re the ones whose beatings and deaths at the hands of the police galvanize the community in a way that the beatings and sexual assaults and deaths that those same police inflict upon black women do not. 
• We’re the ones whose mistreatment inspired a boycott of the NFL despite the NFL’s long history of mishandling and outright ignoring far worse crimes against black women. 
• We are the ones who get the biggest seat at the table and the biggest piece of chicken at the table despite making the smallest contribution to the meal.

And nowhere is this more evident than when considering the collective danger we pose to black women and our collective lack of willingness to accept and make amends for that truth. It’s a damning and depressing paradox. 

When speaking about race and racism, we want our concerns and our worries and our fears to be acknowledged. We want white people to at least make an effort to understand that our reality is different from theirs and that white supremacy is a vital and inextricable part of America’s foundation, and we grow frustrated when they refuse to acknowledge their role—historically and presently—in propagating it...

A HOTEP SUPREME LEADER: DR UMAR JOHNSON

     In this context, Hotep refers to Pan-African extremists who often infuse their Pan-Africanism with misogyny, a Trumpian relationship with facts and understanding of context, and a steadfast belief in bizarre and ridiculous conspiracy theories. 

     For instance? 

     The belief that menstruation is unnatural and only happens to Black women because of a European virus. 

     The what that what is what and what??? 

     Exactly.

     Like, you know how annoying some college students are the summer after freshman year, when they come home and think they all of a sudden know everything about everything just because they managed not to flunk out? Well, hoteps tend to be that way too, except add 30 years and a quart of ash, and substitute The Isis Papers for English 101.

IS GOOGLE A SAFE PLACE FOR WOMEN TO WORK?

It doesn't sound like it.

An engineer at Google wrote a 10 page memorandum which accused] Google of silencing conservatives and argued that biological differences were the most significant factor underlying the low numbers of women in techical and leadership positions.

The Harm of Google’s biasesI strongly believe in gender and racial diversity, and I think we should strive for more. However, to achieve a more equal gender and race representation, Google has created several discriminatory practices:

• Programs, mentoring, and classes only for people with a certain gender or race [5]

• A high priority queue and special treatment for “diversity” candidates

• Hiring practices which can effectively lower the bar for “diversity” candidates by decreasing the false negative rate

• Reconsidering any set of people if it’s not “diverse” enough, but not showing that same scrutiny in the reverse direction (clear confirmation bias)

• Setting org level OKRs for increased representation which can incentivize illegal discrimination [6]

These practices are based on false assumptions generated by our biases and can actually increase race and gender tensions. We’re told by senior leadership that what we’re doing is both the morally and economically correct thing to do, but without evidence this is just veiled left ideology[7] that can irreparably harm Google.

The writer James Damore was fired but it's more than a little interesting to me that he felt comfortable putting in writing things like, 'It's just biology that women don't do well in leadership positions and don't like technical stuff; therefore it's just natural they aren't being hired and promoted like men are.'

Supremacists, white and male and especially white males, only feel safe in groups. They whisper in the breakroom. They whisper when paired off in cars on a business trip. Even though white men are feeling completely empowered due to Trump and feel free to claim how much more of everything they deserve because they're just naturally better, Damore had to have people close at hand to make him stop trembling long enough to right his male's are just better manifesto. 

After the controversy swelled, Danielle Brown, Google’s new vice president for diversity, integrity and governance, sent a statement to staff condemning Damore’s views and reaffirmed the company’s stance on diversity. 

In internal discussion boards, multiple employees said they supported firing the author, and some said they would not choose to work with him, according to postings viewed by Bloomberg News. 

“We are unequivocal in our belief that diversity and inclusion are critical to our success as a company,” Brown said in the statement. “We’ll continue to stand for that and be committed to it for the long haul.” 

The memo and surrounding debate comes as Google fends off a lawsuit from the U.S. Department of Labor alleging the company systemically discriminates against women.

Google has denied the charges, arguing that it doesn’t have a gender gap in pay, but has declined to share full salary information with the government. According to the company’s most recent demographic report, 69 percent of its workforce and 80 percent of its technical staff are male.

Like I said, it's more than a little interesting to me that Damore felt comfortable enough to put 10 pages worth of 'men are naturally superior and that google should stop looking for sexism (and racism) as an "excuse" for why certain demographics get paid less and promoted less.'

Sexism and racism are never the answer for white boys who are sure they're better than everybody else. 

Never. 

I knew I would find an article that said something like Google has a male supremacy problem eventually-- and I barely had to make an effort to look. White boys only feel safe saying they are naturally superior when they are travelling in packs.

So firing Damore did not suddenly make google safe for women, people of color or anybody else.  And their "declining" to fully cooperate with the U.S. Department of Labor's investigation means google is going to continue on its merry way...discriminating against women

Though the details of Dorian Johnson's stories aren't consistent each time he talks, I never expected them to be. His part of Mike Brown's story after Wilson and Brown are struggling for the gun might be 30 to 60 very long seconds. And that part of Brown's death story takes place while Dorian is running for his own life.   

Who can think and remember details in such a situation?    

When cops ask 7 bystanders near the scene of a horrific car accident, "What happened?" they get 7 stories that may not overlap very much. The people released from jail after 30 years due to a wrongful conviction were most often put in jail erroneously by eye-witness testimony.   

People's memories are bad when they are afraid. 

But I believe what Johnson says about what happened between Mike Brown, himself, and Darren Wilson BEFORE he was afraid. There was likely no panic involved in those initial moments before the struggle for the gun. 

Before the struggle at the cop car window begins, according to Johnson, Darren Wilson initiated the incident by cussing these two black men out for jay walking.

Wilson's own white cop boss has said enough to let us know Wilson did not know anything about that non-existent store robbery. The initial encounter was a jay walking beef. When they don't move fast enough, Wilson apparently swung the door out hard and hit Mike Brown with it. Then the car door ricocheted back and hit Wilson.   

For me it's easy to assume an established white racist like Wilson became enraged and fearful when his attack on Brown backfired. (Isn't hitting somebody that hard with a car door an attack?)

I have to believe Johnson about the door because something provoked Wilson to go for his gun.

The only reason for a person of any color --who is not mentally ill-- to put his or her hand anywhere near a cop's gun near an open car window is to stop him from shooting it.  

And if this altercation had happened between two white men, it would be obvious that Wilson's story of Brown just deciding to reach in his car for the gun makes no sense at all. 

In addition to the racism, or even because of the racism, Mike Brown's death story should be seen as a white male initiated penis measuring contest gone bad. Wilson, and most white racists, need to prove that they are collectively winning the competition that creates fragile end of white masculinity.

"Move left if you know what's good for you"  is one of the last things Richard Collins III heard before he was killed. That is even more obvious as a white initiated dick measuring contest.


WHERE ETHNORACISM, WILLFUL WHITE IGNORANCE, AND PATRIARCHY MEET

A few weeks ago when a Muslim man drove a car up onto a sidewalk and killed 5 people in Britain on Westminster Bridge near the parliament. A white reporter over there said maybe this Muslim man, who had lived in Britain for years, was trying to perform a terrorist attack on that particular date because it was the anniversary of the Brussels terrorist attack.

This reporter said this ignoring the fact that the white folks of Britain were right in the midst of triggering BREXIT which sounds like MUSLIM BAN in that both seem to be meant to communicate the same thing:  "We hate you non-white outsiders. This is ours." 

White people have no idea how much PTSD they cause in non-white people. No idea. But this matters. 

When you have a population that is oppressed and scapegoated by white people then come up with things like BREXIT,  MUSLIM BAN 1, and the recently re-thwarted MUSLIM BAN 2 you create resentment in a population already way-tired of the white supremacy and unacknowledged white hatred.

Inside the oppressed culture, imagine a fledgling male trying to feel like he's a masculine man that's winning. All you would have to do is add a little emotional imbalance and an adult voice (from ISIS) that seems more masculine than you yourself are. That's how you get the young male MINO to turn into a terrorist.

And you can only do this to men for the most part. There aren't any forms of violence that make a woman more womanly. Creating a feeling of worthlessness by being unable to give up your life doing violence doesn't seem nearly as possible for women

...which is why women terrorists are few and far between.

True oppression (Muslim communities) or imagined oppression (white working class angst) plus promises of being able to compete your way to masculinity is all it takes to create a KKK member, an Alt-Right or Alt-Reich member, a white mass shooter, or a MINO Terrorist with middle east ties.

The feeling like whiteness and maleness isn't paying off the way it should is all it takes to manufacturer a feeling of (pseudo) oppression within yourself.

Again, I see a hair's breadth worth of difference between most of the United White States Mass Shooters and MINO Terrorists. And that small difference is based on a much older adult male terrorist's ability to speak into a boy's sense of failure at being a man.

Therefore, I think it takes a lot of nerve for a CINO like Trump to call out MINOs when he's got to be one of the worst examples of  hyper-masculinity based fake manhood there is.

Trump is winner inside the patriarchy. Saying his Daddy's money is his own makes him look like a competitor that has won. For other men who love the patriarchy-as-competitiveness the way it is and think they could win if it weren't for the black and brown people in the way, Trump can no wrong...so far.   

No matter what idiotic thing comes out of Trump's mouth the other white males that want to compete and win at masculinity, the other white males who want to become masters of the universe too, they will follow him.

All of this is why I don't think you can separate race, class, and patriarchy. I think they are braided together and have become one. We should all remember that bell hooks has been saying this for decades now.

The capitalism bell hooks also mentions is at the cauldron that holds it all together. 

We can think of racism, sexism, and classism as social systems designed by the winners (the one-percenters) to reduce the number of people competing for wealth and power. In other words, all the claims of superiority (competition) are about greed for money or power; the more people you stop from being able to compete, the more  you have for yourself.   

And if you, as a one-percenter, can convince some of the poor that look like you (poor white folks) using white supremacy to identify yourselves as an "us" in an  us-versus-them competition, mostly white one-percenters can use the poor white folks like a shield to protect their wealth  

I feel like this almost has to be the method by which you get white people come together to slit their own financial throats.  Money and power are the only reasons I can think of that a man or woman will choose to believe, for example, that the same chunk of DNA responsible for skin color makes a person intellectually inferior or superior to another. 

The motive behind this choice of belief is clearly NOT logic.
Therefore it's a positive feeling that's being sought when you seek out superiority. 

Proving one's own superiority to oneself makes one feel good. Taking more than ones fair share can be called  "greed" which can also feel good for so long as you can hide your unfair motivations from yourself.  

It is emotion, not logic, that drives the racism, sexism, classism and patriarchy. And most of it is coming into the world from the men that run this world. 

Men are more than 80% of the presidents, prime ministers, congressmen, parliaments, judges, and policemen the world over. It is men who have decided what masculinity is supposed to look like, who is competitive, who is winning, and who is a loser.   But women love and execute patriarchy too

It is no accident that feminists began to use the word “patriarchy” to replace the more commonly used “male chauvanism” and “sexism.” These courageous voices wanted men and women to become more aware of the way patriarchy affects us all...

We need to highlight the role women play in perpetuating and sustaining patriarchal culture so that we will recognize patriarchy as a system women and men support equally,  even if men receive more rewards from that system. 

Dismantling and changing patriarchal culture is work that men and women must do together.

Patriarchy having an unstable, emotional base is why the fringe dwellers of patriarchy, Trump's losers, explode when they are not coming out on top the way they feel they should strictly because they are men

And if the losers are having emotion based problems then the winners are too 

-- ugly winners like white cop murderers who get away with it,--ugly winners rapists who get away with it, --ugly winners like war starters who make sure we all pay one way or another.--piggy-eyed, alt-Right, alt-Reich supporting rich men presidents.

All of the above is why I find it laughable that men think women are more emotional than men.

Women don't actually have more feelings. Women express more feelings. And because women are free to express their emotions in a culture men have 80% of the power to shape, they are more familiar with identifying their feelings And because women can identify their feelings, they are more able to control their feelings. 

When men feel bad because they are not competing and coming out on top, especially the youngest of men, their emotions explode into things that look like white cop shootings, rape, terrorism, and war.

...which kinda brings us back to the emotional base and emotional outcomes of white supremacy.

Everybody on the planet except white people know that white men are the ones running rough shod over everyone else for now. 

That's why the MINOs are choosing white sections of white countries to terrorize. The young male MINOs knows that their manhood appears to be less than white manhood (because white men are richer and have bigger armies). MINO terrorists fear collectively losing the competition that is patriarchy --in the same ways as KKK white men, Alt-right white men, and Alt-Reich white men are afraid of losing collectively. 

MINO terrorists know that bombing black and brown sections of countries like the U.S. and Britain won't gain them even one point toward repairing their masculinity. 

This is almost certainly why most black and brown people in the U.S. are more afraid of the white cop (trying to prove his penis is bigger) than they are any MINO terrorists (trying to prove their penises are collectively bigger). When black and brown people die at the hands of a MINO terrorist it's because they were in close proximity to large numbers of white people that are important to white men.

The older men, the MINO Svengali Terrorists, who control the baby-boy-terrorists ignorant enough to kill themselves,  are not stupid. 

Think about it: What tears at the masculinity of white men more than killing young white females that white men are supposed to be protecting? 

When men wage war on other men, the winners try to make sure they rape the losers women. This should be considered yet another my-penis-is-bigger-than-yours gesture.   

• These victory-rapes have happened in country after country. And, in addition to the money making aspect of creating more slaves, white men raped black women as a sign of their winning the male supremacy competition.  

I take the bombing of a stadium full of pre-teen girls in Manchester as the same gesture. 

Until we start treating patriarchy like the sickness it is the rapes and domestic violence will continue to increase without much repercussion whenever "good men" are stressed. We all already knew that, I hope.

But there will also be more Presidents like Trump that 13% of black men voted for and damn near one-third of latino men will voted for -- if it means winning the male supremacy competition. 

There will be more wars where the torture of enemies is seen as normal and necessary. There will be more Sandy Hooks and more Manchesters too.

Yeah, most of the men identified in the title may have ethnoracism problems but the core problem they have in common is that 

these are all men 

who have to prove they are men 

because they fear that 

they aren't really men.

What if we can't stop the carnage happening all over the world if we don't understand all the pieces of what makes these men tick then sometimes explode?

What if we can't stop the senseless deaths of hundreds, thousands, and even millions if we don't understand the patriarchy as well as we understand the ethnoracsim?

MALE SUPREMACY EXECUTED AS COMPETITION

1) Men compete with women and in their own minds they are superior.  

2) Some men compete with other men and some are deemed winners while others are deemed losers; 

3) The "loser" men who agree that see themselves as failing at masculinity because they can not compete with other men or always feel like they are reigning supreme over women sometimes become violent in order to trump women who appear to be winning and/or men that appear to be superior.

Patriarchy as male supremacist competition explains:

You may notice that white men are heavily represented in this list. This is because white men are on top of the food chain in this country and they have feelings of entitlement that are much larger than other groups. 

That is, white men who think their masculinity is in question have a lot to gain by setting up competitions anywhere they go. And you do have to have competitions going on in your head in order to keep repeatedly proving to yourself that you are a superior individual or part of a superior collective.

White men and women believe, without wanting to admit it, that a quasi-decent amount of white male effort in any particular direction should get white men (and the white women they financially support) exactly what they want.

And this is "a white privilege" that's mostly true in the United States.  But life isn't always fair, not even for white men.

So when things don't go a white male's way --especially a young white male trying to compete his way into proving he is a man --there can be an explosive anger at the perceived injustice of it all.

Other male groups can and do get violent too.  But other groups of men don't have the expectations of success born in a believe in white superiority.

When you add that expectation of relatively easy success to a white male sense of entitlement that winds up being thwarted, you get explosive anger within U.S. gun culture.   

Some "loser" white men will do things like vote for a verbally violent Donald Trump, a symbol of white male winning because he's rich and people believe Trump's claims that he "won" that money through good competitive business sense instead of inheriting so much money from his father he can afford to go bankrupt 4 to 6 times and still be rich.   

But when you add a teeny tiny bit of emotional imbalance to the white man who's failing to compete his way into winning his own masculinity inside gun culture, then you get white mass shooters.

When men feel like they are not conquering the world, not competing and winning like other men say they are supposed to win, men can become dangerous in almost any setting.

Domestic Violence becomes a place where men can win against women if he feels like he's losing everywhere else.  This is why when economic downturns come and men lose jobs, domestic violence rates always increase -- no matter what country you're in.

And this is a major problem for the black community, because black men face a lot of joblessness without any economic downturn at all. The poverty rate is 2 to 3 times that of white people most of the time. 

White-on-white Crime is every bit as intraracial as Black-On-Black Crime. However, a much larger percentage of the black males execute violence against one another as compared to white males in the white community.  

This is because Black males too are a mental and emotional victims of a patriarchy says that men are supposed to conquer the world enough (compete with other men for jobs and win) to become the bread winner (compete with women in the household, higher earnings justify the man being the boss in the house)  

When black men fail to compete at this end of patriarchy --due to racist oppression-- they turn to other ways of winning.  Beating women (and children) is one of the ways of competing and winning --same as it is for white men.    

 The other thing that happens when black men are poor and feeling powerless is that inside the alternative economies (sometimes illegal economies) they create in order to earn money, a toxic masculinity starts being played out --especially among young men. 

I won't judge SOME men for doing what they have to do to put food on the table when there aren't "regular jobs" to be had post white-flight from the cities. But the more violent aspects of these "alternative economies" such as drug dealing is the power struggle between differing groups of black men with guns over turf are more about competing in order to prove masculinity.     

In fact, the foot soldiers among drug dealers risk death in order to earn so little money, that the only true attraction to drug dealing as an alternative economy is probably carrying a gun, being tougher than the next guy,

The foot soldiers among drug dealers in the poor black communities probably have a lot in common with white gun nuts that support the National Rifle Association, year after year after year despite guns killing more people in their own homes than would-be thieves and burglars.

The gun is so strong a symbol of masculinity (competitiveness in patriarchy) that not even the deaths of 26 people, mostly white school children at Sandy Hook, could get the entire country behind keeping guns away from the mentally ill.
Using guns to win the competitions necessary to prove yourself a man, brings us to the doorstep of the worst of white cops too

White cops kill black men and black women both. And it seems obvious to most black people (and concerned others) that black men get killed by police a lot more often than black women.

But I'm not always so sure the "a lot more often" part is true.  Black women's deaths are ignored a lot. And I'm not sure how much.

What happens between black men and white men has been counted as the most important thing about white supremacy for a long time. 

The classic books, THE SOULS OF BLACK FOLK by W E B DuBois and THE FIRE NEXT TIME, by James Baldwin are both masterpieces in some ways. But these books written 60 years apart make obvious the black attitude that eradicating white racism is all about the well being of black men  -- in very much the same way that feminism is always being put forth as being all about the well being of white women.  

Yet it's not just men that perpetuate patriarchy. Women, of all races, are just as dedicated to promoting male supremacy through competition -- to the detriment of their sons and daughters 

The contemporary presence of female-headed house holds has led many people to assume that children in these households are not learning patriarchal values because no male is present. They assume that men are the sole teachers of patriarchal thinking. 

Yet many female-headed households endorse and promote patriarchal thinking with far greater passion than two-parent households.  

Because they do not have an experiential reality to challenge false fantasies of gender roles, women in such households are far more likely to idealize the patriarchal male role and patriarchal men than are women who live with patriarchal men every day. 

We need to highlight the role women play in perpetuating and sustaining patriarchal culture so that we will recognize patriarchy as a system women and men support equally, even if men receive more rewards from that system.  

Dismantling and changing patriarchal culture is work that men and women must do together.

Black people cannot afford the double burden of white supremacy tearing at us from the outside while male supremacy tears at us from within.

With all this in mind, let me say I understand that black men die at the hands of white police a lot more violently. There is no question about this in my mind about the violence. Competitiveness aimed at achieving masculinity automatically brings violence.

But black women are so discounted that when they DO DIE VIOLENTLY TOO, that I often don't hear about a black women dying at the hands of police for weeks or months after it happens (Yvette Smith). So I wonder how many black women die less violent, less spectacular deaths at the hands of white police without me every hearing about it at all.   

Sometimes when I hear about a black woman's death at hands of police, it's not immediately seen as being relevant to the BLACK LIVES MATTER push back because there's not enough black community interest to investigate what happened to a black woman.   

• For example: Miriam Carey's murder by police was twisted into a terrorist attempt in Washington D.C. Dozens of members of our predominantly white congress actually stood up and applauded her death based on the lie that D.C. law enforcement saved them from a terrorist 
• Carey went into the wrong parking lot, made  U-turn and tried to leave. Then some strange white man fell across her hood with what looks like a beer cooler while she had a baby in the backseat. 

• She sped away -- not nearly as fast as police said she did-- and they riddled her car with bullets with the baby in the back).

THE VIRTUALLY UNRECOGNIZEABLE STORY OF MIRIAM CAREY

There weren't many protests, even after we knew the truth of Miriam Carey's death, because we in the black community have the well established mental habit of believing what happens to black men at the hands of white men is of the utmost importance to the black community -- to the near exclusion of everything else. 

That is, there was a patriarchal competition set up by black people about what's important in the black community and black women lost.  

BLACK LIVES MATTER was started by three feminist black women yet SAY HER NAME had to be created to add black women back to the picture of how white racist cops kill black women too.  Sandra Bland dying as SAY HER NAME reached its peak is likely the only reason we know Sandra Bland's name. But I'll bet we don't know about dozens if not hundreds of other black women that die in prison like Natasha McKenna.

Even so, I don't have very much doubt that white police kill a lot more unarmed black men than unarmed black women --especially if you talk about black men dying by gunfire only. More than that, I have zero doubts that the white police are a lot more violent when they kill unarmed black men.  

It seems to me that there almost has to be more of a competitive thrill when white men to kill black men. A white police officer just isn't going to get the same adrenaline rush of proven-masculinity from killing a black woman. In fact, if the story can't be managed as well if a black woman is killed; a white cop's masculinity might even take a hit if the black woman's is seen as a sympathetic figure.  

When white men kill black men, due to male superiority as competition not only is there the hate of racism, there is the dark joy white men get from winning the patriarchy.

That's why there some of our well-known examples of white cops killing unarmed black men started out as a penis measuring contests: 

Did Officer Michael Slager prove to himself that he was the more masculine one when Walter Scott started running away?  Was Slager even more sure of his competition based masculinity when he shot Scott in the back? Look at the video of  Slager shooting Scott, if you can stand it. Look at the cavalier stance of this white cop. His body language, his swagger screams, "I'm winning." 

When things go sideways in an interracial "my penis is bigger than yours" interaction, white men believe their own lies about how black men and become afraid.

To me, this describes how Mike Brown died --if you believe Brown's friend, the black man Darren Wilson's bullets missed. And I do believe Dorian Johnson's story about the car door...
