COLORBLIND BLACK MEN AND THE CHILDISH GAMBIT TO DEFEND DONALD GLOVER

WHEN THERE'S REALLY NOTHING TO DEFEND
YET
THEY ARE GASLIGHTING BLACK WOMEN ANYWAY

The problem with most of the discussions and articles on black men who date white women is that they focus on individual behavior instead of the pattern of group behavior
Just like an individual black woman, or 2% of black women, or 10% of black women always deciding to get a relaxer or a straight weave does not indicate that a particular black woman or black women, as a group, have a problem loving and appreciating natural black hair, 90% of black women always choosing straight hair through relaxer or weave just might.
For a long time black women automatically got their hair straightened in order to look near and professional once they became adults. This was an outcome of bathing in white supremacy 24/7.
And now this white supremacy influenced behavior is being in the black community addressed through the natural hair care movement. And even though I've been natural for 25 years, I'm relieved. I am glad to have more information about the moisturizing and maintaining the health of my tresses.

And now it's time for black men to address their problem with thinking whiteness is superior for so long as that whiteness is wrapped around a white woman -- especially when a black man gets rich.

And this does seem like a problem for black men in a way it is not for black women. If 12 percent of black men marry outside the race when they are not rich but 50 to 60% do when once they cross into the rich zone, then it ought to be obvious to everyone that black men have a problem, a problem believing proximity to whiteness makes everything better.

And I think high profile black men pattern is obvious to everyone.  The black community is just pretending it's not obvious because the average black man is humiliated by this behavior. Hence, the denial. Since male supremacy is real inside and outside the black community, what black men say is "not real" goes

--except the black men's pattern of chasing Becky and Becky-adjacents (Asian, Latina, Kim Ks) once they get a little money is obvious to anyone who cares to look. Anyone.
And when I say anyone I mean to include white people who couldn't tell Michael Jackson was bleaching himself  until he was two shades darker than milk. Everybody knows black men reach startdom and fame and then reach for Becky

There's just no denying this.

Childish, Scott, Michael, Tiger, Taye, Kanye, Jay Z, John Ridley...and their white or light spouses

In the process of the black community pretending it cannot see the group behavior of high profile, rich black men, the black community has decided to gaslight large swaths of black women who can see the black men's obvious pattern.

They tell black women they are angry and bitter over "losing" someone like Childish Gambino from the black dating pool. This is laughable. So allow me to imitate a patriarchy soaked man for a moment in order to make a point.

Childish Gambino is not Idris Elba
While Childish is okay in the face to some, what has unapologetically come out of his misogynistic mouth combined with his hairy, two-pounds from obese body -- a pudginess that winds up making him look like a sawed off runt-- the rest of him kinda makes him a no-go for most black women.
And if he has become a gold spreader in order to compensate for his short comings --as many rich men do --I'm sure there are gold-diggers that will bring their beauty to the table in exchange for the money he's laying on the table.
But as I understand it, that option is only open to white and Asian women.
All of this is why I can estimate with confidence that upwards of 98% of black women are not jealous of the white woman or Asian woman that Childish is with right now or has been with in the past. Furthermore, black women are not jealous of the white, light, asian, and latina women that Kanye, Nate Parker, half the black NFL, half the black AFL, and half the black men in baseball have paired up with.

Know why?

Too many of the exclusive-Becky chasers are permanently broken, and obviously so

Ain't no black woman worth her salt got time that.

So while it is true that a person cannot tell that a black man's mind has been broken by white supremacy just by looking at who he's decided to date or take for a spouse, you can look at behavioral patterns of a demographic. You can look at group behavior and come up with some pretty solid hypotheses.

And black men have an obvious pattern of chasing women that are white or in close proximity to whiteness once they get rich.

Some black male writers want to claim there is a double standard for rich black women in Hollywood. But I think this is just a way of throwing mud in the water on behalf of their heroes. But I could be wrong.
It could be that it just SEEMS like black men have a problem black women do not, once they are rich, because black men are more numerous and more visible in Hollywood and sports. But the black women listed in one article --Halle Berry, Tyra Banks, Venus and Serena-- these women did not stop dating black men AFTER they were rich and famous. They dated white and brown men in addition to black men post riches and fame..
That is, unlike Donald Glover, Kanye, and Taye Diggs and famous black women are NOT exhibiting any symptoms that can be "mistaken" for Asian fetish or white fetish.
And I don’t see black women making sure they date black women lighter than a paper bag either — even writing songs about “light skinned honies” before they marry the biggest pop singer the world has seen.
JAY Z -   "And all the wavy light skinned girls is loving me now..."
~DECEMBER 4th Lyric

To me black men's problems with loving whiteness and lightness for so long as it's wrapped around a woman is obvious. And if only 12% of average income black men marry-out while 50, 60, or 70 percent of black men marry-out once they get rich, then there's something bad happening in that gap.

Black men very, very likely have a problem at the group level if they need to do an O J Simpson once they get rich. And the problem revealed by the gap probably goes by the name, "Internalized Racism."

Again, do not hear me say every black man married to a white woman has an internalized racism problem. I am talking about the pattern we can see in the group of black men.

I won't even say every rich black man married to a white or light woman has an internal racism problem.

I mean, it's seems likely that other black people are going to be harder to find and date once you are part of The Black One-Percenters.  I get that. Who doesn't? Black men lonely to meet anyone who love them back live in the gap I've described too -- not just the color struck black man.

Yet, most of black female one-percenters I can think of managed to date black men after becoming rich -- even if they wound up marrying out in the end.

KANYE:  "Me and most of our friends like mutts a lot. Yeah ..."
("mutts" = mixed race girls)
https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.4685/title.kanye-west-calls-mixed-girls-mutts

Black men devaluing of black female beauty at the group level is hurtful to the entire black community. But it is especially harmful to black girls when they fail to notice black male content creators in Hollywood are also telling them that white and light is right -- and doing so nearly as often as white content creators do.
Think about it:
  • THE COSBY SHOW and A DIFFERENT WORLD began with dating age girls at the center of their shows that were pale as milk. And three out of four black girls on A DIFFERENT WORLD were pale and mixed race both.
I cheered these black girl characters on without reservation when I was a kid. I loved them. Most black girls and black women still love them. And I still do too, frankly.

Imagine my surprise when I got to college and I was treated like Charnele Brown, the only non-WHAT-IS-SHE black girl student starring in A DIFFERENT WORLD. In real life black guys were never checking for my dark-skinned behind either.

What I should have been watching instead was SCHOOL DAZE.
And, I should have watched it over and over again until the reality of black male colorism set in.
That way, I and thousands of other black girls who went off to college thinking educated black men wouldn't dare treat us so shabbily wouldn't have been slapped across the face by the reality of black male worship of anything female in close proximity to whiteness.
I've come to the conclusion that this perpetuation of colorism is harmful in the same way as having carbon dioxide leaking into the room you are sleeping in.  It doesn't look, smell, or taste like anything. So you don't notice it's there while it's killing you.

Black women like me do know whether or not Donald Glover or any other black man loves his pale girlfriend for herself or if he loves her white skin because it gives him a higher status. And most of us can't be bothered to think about it one way or the other.

But we, as black women, should be thinking about the black men who defend Donald Glover as if he's not part of a huge black male pattern. The "BLERD" excuse is just that, an excuse -- a newish excuse for black men worshiping the white beauty aesthetic.

BLACK PATTERNS MATTER

It's a good thing that a few black male writers, here and there, that get this.

headline

BLACK NERDS: BEING BULLIED BY YOUR PEERS AS A KID IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR [LIFE LONG] ANTI-BLACKNESS
http://afropunk.com/2017/03/black-nerds-being-bullied-by-your-peers-as-a-kid-is-not-an-excuse-for-anti-blackness/

I don't think it's an accident that a black man that is married to a black woman who looks black --and sounds like a black feminist-- created strong, vulnerable, lovely, and intelligent black female characters that look  as black as the black male characters for THE BLACK PANTHER.

I don't think it's an accident that black men have been fairly strong, if not large in number, within Hollywood since the 1980s but haven't done jack for black female actresses that don't fall into the WHAT-IS-SHE category in over 30 years.

While 88% of average income black men do not marry out, it seems like most of them are perfectly capable of pretending they are as colorblind as white people when it comes to seeing rich black men slide white (and light) once they have more than two nickels to rub together

THE DEFENSE OF BLACK MALE PATTERNS MATTER

Part of me understands the willful colorblindness of black men (and black women) who will defend a rich black man at any cost. We are a people starved for signs that a black person can make it despite white supremacy. We want to see each and every black person that has made it to the mountain top as a hero.

But it just ain't so and for a variety of reasons.
Bill Cosby is not black hero material and hasn't been since the first POUND CAKE SPEECH
R. Kelly  is not black hero material
Nate Parker  is not black hero material
Chris Brown is not black hero material
And Donald Glover isn't either

Even if Glover stops exclusively dating white and Asian women, starts dating black women instead,  until he apologizes for the misogynist filth that has come out of his mouth, he's still deserves to be cancelled -- and not to punish him but to save us. The black community can ill afford a weak-mined black content creator that only sees half the race as fully human.

In my wildest dreams, I cannot imagine Donald Glover making anything that's uplifting to the entire black race and not just black men. I cannot imagine him making anything like BLACK PANTHER as much as some say he gravitates toward being "a credit to his race" before the white gaze.

But I can imagine Glover doing a John Ridley.
John Ridley, writer of 12 Years A Slave, decided to make a short series about THE BLACK POWER MOVEMENT in Britain and center it on a love story.
Sounds cool, right?
Imagine black women's surprise when they found out the black male character in GUERILLA was not in love with a black woman. Not only was a black female not the black male star's love interest, Ridley had a black woman be the sell out within the first episode or so.
And when Ridley was confronted about the e-race-sure and trashing of black women, he cried.  Ridley literally cried saying he wanted his wife to be represented in the series because other races were involved in the BLACK POWER MOVEMENT too.
A black man cannot call himself pro-black people when he is only pro-black men. But a lot of high profile black men in Hollywood and elsewhere have been doing this for decades -- and not just those married to white and light women either.

UNDERSTANDING WHEN THE WORD "FEMALES" REALLY MEANS "BITCHES"

you will find they are using the term
in an aggressive way.

Damon Young of VerySmartBrothas.com breaks down why using the term "female" can be problematic —and just plain weird.

The men and women who like to use this term and are aggressive about using "females" as a way to call women bitches aren't going to change. But some people have picked up this aggressive way of using the word "females" just by virtue of who they hang around.

This is how word use changes, how word use is spread, by hearing and repeating. Language is alive and evolving so most of the time hearing and repeating and changing words so that things are more clear is a good thing.

But not in this case. "Females" is negative code that means "bitches" and is aimed at women same as "Make American Great Again" is code for "We don't want you here" aimed at people who are not white

Hopefully some people who see this video will start paying attention to the company they keep and realize,
"Yeah...most every time I've heard someone say 'females' in that exasperated, superior, or ugly tone, that same someone could have used the word 'bitches' just as easily."

SUGGESTIONS:
Choose your company carefully. Don't let the misogyny creep up on you.

Watch your mouth. Don't inadvertently perpetuate misogyny

ZORA NEALE HURSTON AND THE MIS-EDUCATION OF THE NEGRESS

Never forget that a fair percentage of white people will defend the people that beat us and kill us for not being white

Never forget that a fair percentage of men, including black men, will defend the people that beat us and kill us for not being men.

"The law said he wasn't guilty, so he's not guilty"

I fully expect white people to say things like this when black people they don't really see as people, don't really see as having full humanity, are beaten and killed by police officers for things like not obeying massa fast enough or a car back firing some distance away.

But it takes unmitigated gaul and self-hatred for some black people, --black men and penis pandering pick-me-s that will follow them absolutely anywhere-- to use the same words that white racists use on us to defend men like Bill Cosby, Nate Parker, Chris Brown, Ray Rice.

Make no mistake, the sexism and misogyny in the black community is likely just as deadly to black women as white supremacy is to black people as a whole.

I've often started and stopped working on a comparison of white cop murder victims and black female domestic violence victims. I keep telling myself I've stopped before I've finished  because of some small problem collecting accurate data here and there.

The real reason I keep stopping is because it'll break my heart to see more black women dead of domestic violence at the hands of black men trying to prove a false masculinity than there are black people dead at hands of white police.

Too many non-feminist black people think that sexism and misogyny is harmless -- as evidenced by the lack of outcry against things like Dave Chappelle and his joke about a Superhero Rapist that gets his power from raping women.

If this level of misogyny is simply called "tasteless" much like white audiences do/did when a white comic goes "racist" to get laughs, then what does this say about the status of black women in the black community?

To me, it says black women aren't seen anywhere near equal to black men and that black men need to be watched as hard as we watch white people when it comes to the images they create of us.

To me this says, it is not surprising that a lot of black history written by black men erases black women's contributions and erases the flaws and questionable behavior of black male heroes, like Frederick Douglass -- who appears to have moved a white woman into his black wife's house after that same black wife saved him from slavery.

Over the last decade, Shonda Rhimes' shattering glass ceilings in Hollywood have allowed Ava DuVernay, Viola Davis, Regina King, and Taraji P Henson to come through and produce and be leading ladies. Television shows like HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER and QUEEN SUGAR have made me realize how very, very little black men in Hollywood have done for black women --especially if they aren't light-skinned women.

If non-feminist black men in Hollywood can very publicly refuse to stand for all black women instead of just the light-skinned ones they can sexually objectify, then what does that say about the rest of the black community?

I know what it says to me. It says to me that black women need to say to black men "ouch" and "stop" and "come correct or get away from me" a lot more often.

It says to me that black women need black history books written by black feminists and a specific book, that's yet to be written, called MIS-EDUCATION OF THE NEGRESS that addresses white supremacy in the country at large and male supremacy in the black community at the same time.

And we need to encourage black boys to read these black women's history books so that they'll look up women and also restrict their admiration to men like Kofi Siriboe ....instead of admiring and defending black men of questionable character simply because they got past the white gatekeepers and got rich in this industry or that one.

We, as the black community, have to do better.

Hotep Hogwarts?
BWAAAA HA HA HA

World-renowned Hotepologist and miseducator (Dr.?) Umar Johnson has threatened to refund the money he collected for the Invisible Frederick Douglass Dashiki Institute for Black Boys and go back to the Motherland after someone snitched on him to Pennsylvania’s State Board of Psychology, triggering an investigation

On Thursday Johnson posted an Instagram photo of a notice of hearing from the Pennsylvania Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, threatening to “move to Afrika” after his farewell Kwanzaa tour.*

DEFENDERS OF BILL COSBY: I'M STILL HERE AFTER THEY CAME FOR ME

Link to Part 1 - I'll be here when they come for me

Can I step into my wide ranging feelings about black female unprotectedness for a minute?

But before I do that. Let me say that I hope Ebony Magazine has some content to go with this cover.

More than that, I hope some of that content compares Anita Hill's treatment to Beverly Johnson's and allows that to show just how little black women are valued by a sizable portion black community.

"If you give a woman -- or a man, for that matter -- without his or her knowledge a drug and then have sex with that person without consent, that's rape," Obama said Wednesday at a White House press conference.

I'm so grateful our black president and a handful of black men on my social media pages stood up to be counted as against drugging-and-raping on behalf of their daughters AND especially on behalf of their sons.

The hope I have for us to be united as a people was dimming until the very, VERY few, proud, and brave black people stood up for the women Cosby admitted to drugging...so as to have sex with them, taking away consent -a.k.a "rape."

I was beginning to think fake unity was going to overtake and engulf any true unity we might attain.

After watching so many black people

stand firmly behind Ray Rice's bullsh**,
while actually using the very same words
to defend the Rice knock out video
that white folks used
to defend the Eric Garner choke out video,
I had to realize that self-serving hypocrisy
is as colorless and gender-less as self-hatred.

ON A SIDE NOTE:
JAMES BROWN ON RAY RICE AND HEALTHY, RESPECTFUL MANHOOD

How does a black person with any sense of dignity at all ever utter the words, "Cosby wasn't found guilty in a court of law, therefore he's not guilty," AFTER -

Trayvon Martin
Rekia Boyd
Eric Garner
Mike Brown
How does that leave the self-respecting black person's mouth, much less a black woman's? How?

Cosby drugging women so as to have sex with them, a.k.a rape, is a bitter pill to swallow. I know it is because I swallowed it myself.  And I knew I had to swallow that bitterness even as I knew I wasn't going to have much company.

In the black community, black women and what happens to them matters much, much less than the material success of a black man. I'd estimate that a very small fraction of black men and less than half of black women stood up for...

Anita Hill
Rhianna
Janay Palmer

or
Beverly Johnson

...after they were attacked.

So few black people said "boo" after Rekia Boyd's murderer was set free that some black folk don't recognize Boyd's name to this day -- much less her murderer's name. And the few that did say "boo" about Rekia on my social media pages? They were nearly all black women.

To add insult to injury, immediately following the damn-near-no-protest for Rekia Boyd there was a protest you could see from outer space for Freddie Gray.  This is one of the many reasons why #SayHerName became so necessary a supplement to the black female created #BlackLivesMatter.

Sandra Bland might have been the most public beneficiary of #SayHerName attention.  So there has been some good news on the black woman front this year. But the overwhelming trend in the black news shows that black women and what happens to them matters much less than the material success of a black man. So much less.

Even black children are worth practically nothing compared to keeping an example of shining black,  male, success up on a pedestal. I couldn't believe it when I heard ESPN commentators defending a black football player who was on video talking casually about DAMAGING his bandaged son (who is also in the video) after having a previous child abuse charge laid on him.

All of this is why "Bill Cosby was set up" claims should have been expected.   However, I am still trying to figure out how Cosby was "only" cheating on his "Queen," is okay for some folk.

This is the other excuse: The sex was consensual with all of them -- not a few of them, not most of them, all of them. Therefore he's not a rapist. Cosby is just somebody who repeatedly cheated on his "Queen" at Hef's place and any other place he might be able to drop a Quaalude into a drink unobserved.

Those unaware of black female history think defense of white womanhood would have stopped Cosby from getting away with raping so many white women (as they pretend light-skinned women also accusing Cosby don't exist).
Well I got news for you. Ida B Wells found out that white womanhood isn't worth THAT much.

Be in awe. Mark this year down in history.
Large numbers of black men are pretending to
NOT SEE light-skinned women.
They only see white female accusers of Bill Cosby.
Must be a new strain of colorblindness.
At the turn of the 19th century, defense of white womanhood was trotted out as a beard for white greed so that foreign investors wouldn't be put off by the animalistic behavior of the white south. That is, when 300, 400 or 500 hundred black people, mostly black men, were being lynched per year at the turn of the 19th century, only 1/3 of the black men lynched were ever even accused of rape according to Ida B Wells (Author of the First Anti-Lynching campaign)  Also, according to Ida B Wells, half of that 1/3 accused of rape were likely in interracial relationships.

The other 2/3rds that were lynched were killed because they had some property or business a white man wanted. Other times the lynchings took place for the pure, white, male pleasure of extracting a feeling of power over something as trivial as a black man "mouthing off."

In other words, white women weren't valued highly enough in 1800s and 1900s to justify very much lynching on their behalf. They were only valued enough to cover up lynching.
And white women sure weren't valued enough in the 1960s, 70s, 80s etc. to fuel a rape conspiracy against a black actor (not a black president) that stretches over an entire country, over several decades, over more than one ethnicity -- most of the women no darker than his extra, extra pale wife, Camille.

Pssst! Am I the only to notice that Tiger and Bill have the same taste in women?

More important than anything else is the fact that white women weren't valued enough for the white men making millions off  "I-Spy," Bill Cosby Stand-up, "Fat Albert," and "The Cosby Show" to turn his dollar-sign green @$$ over the police.

Sexism plays a huge role in white men covering for black Bill too.

Slut-shaming was 100% successful inside and out of the Playboy Mansion heyday of the 1960s and 1970s. Hef and Cosby hung out there regularly.  There existed in the cultural consciousness of the mid-20th century "the girls that do" (have sex outside of marriage) and "the girls that don't" (have sex out of marriage). That were actually multiple sayings based on "the girls that do" versus "the girls that don't."  Virginity was like a prize that a "good girl" was supposed to hold onto for her husband. As for the ~girls that did~ in 1960s and 70s? They were seen as getting what they deserve if they were out late, having the audacity to have a drink--even rape.
(Watch a 1970s Jaime Lee Curtis slasher movie if you really want to see how expendable "the girls that do" were)

In the 1980s, men were still arguing about whether date-rape was even a real thing.  In many men's eyes, if a woman agreed to go on a date with a man and then let herself be alone with him, she was assumed to want sex -- even if he ripped her clothes and knocked her around a bit as rough foreplay while she screamed "No!"

Slut-Shaming-On-Steroids having been allowed to pass as "normal" American culture is also one of the reasons why Cosby, and any other man with access to a microphone, could tell rape jokes with impunity not so long ago.

Back in good ole days of "Spanish Fly" a man could get away with rape, call it "let the drinker beware," then laugh it off with his buddies  later.

Some black folk have tried to say, "Times were different back then. It wasn't considered 'rape' back then. People just didn't know any better."

Well guess what?

White people try to say the very same garbage about slavery.

And I say, "Immorality being popular doesn't make that immorality not exist. People who were born two decades, five decades, or twenty decades before you are not simple-minded children to be excused no matter what heinous act they commited because they didn't know any better. Anybody over the age of 5 knows when they are hurting someone else. Those that don't are called 'sociopaths' whether born in 1650, 1750, 1850, or 1950. So I'm not letting white people get away with calling their grown, slave beating ancestors 'children who didn't know any better back in the old days.' And I'm not letting people get away with calling their women-raping-men 'children who didn't know any better back in the old days' either, not even if those men are black."

Like anybody else though, I truly hope we can separate Cliff Huxtable from Bill Cosby and enjoy the Cosbys again.  I loved the Cosbys like they were real.  I might remember the personalities of the characters better than some co-workers I've left behind at jobs that I had in my teens.  The Cosby Show managed to become a part of Americana. And I think they deserve to stay a part of our cultural history despite the despicable things that have come to light about the lead actor.

I hope, one day, we can all forget Bill Cosby and remember Cliff Huxtable.
I think I'd feel that way even if The Cosby Show wasn't the First Black Family of television. Maybe not. But I think would. I suppose I'll never be sure of that.

I've felt heartbroken over having to give up the Cosbys. I haven't even tried to watch an episode since this story broke.  But I think I might have IF Cosby's face hadn't become symbolic of misogynoir in my head.

Bill Cosby, the actor, is upsetting me a lot less than the protectors of Bill Cosby at this point. Bill Cosby is what he is.  It's unlikely he's going to trial or to jail. I've come to accept that after all this time. But I have to have more hope going forward for the black community than that.  I can't just the black community is what it is, full of way too much misogynoir, and keep it moving.

The defenders of Bill Cosby being so numerous, mean my sisters and I aren't safe, not even from other sisters, because the black male predators among us are now being held as sacred in the black community -- in ways they were not a century ago.

And think about this for a minute or ten:  Cosby is being protected for very much the same reasons that Ben Affleck protected his slave owning ancestor, isn't he? White folk don't want to disrupt the hero worship with the truth and we don't either

Cosby is an actor.

I keep telling myself that's all Cosby is. He's just an actor. As I recall his pontificating about the inferiority of black teenagers who embarrass the entire race for having low hanging pants, I also recall that he failed 10th grade then joined the Navy, getting an equivalency degree or some such thing, later. He went on to get a solid education, but as Ben Carson has repeatedly proved, even brain surgeons can be idiots about the humanity of other human beings.

And what is a person that rapes women but someone who does not count the humanity of a woman as worth as much as his own?

Cosby had already told us that there are whole classes of black folk he doesn't count as equal to him.  And while I do understand that every respectability politician doesn't have to be a rapist, a respectability politician has already told you that this humanity over here is worth more than that humanity over there. In my mind, it's just a shorter leap from respectability politics to rapist.

I hope that Ebony covers all the rape accusations but pays special attention to how Beverly Johnson and other women of color have been stomped and/or ignored in favor of a man that has been known FOR AGES --by those calling their women "Queens,"  claiming   to be "all about strengthening the black family"-- to be cheating on his wife Camille multiple times a day, who has admitted to drugging women with a drug that can remove consent, which can be used to "rape."

Some people are worried about dragging black business in the street. To this I say, "HAH!!!!"  AND...

"I wish I would give a damn about people who don't give good gawd damn about  about protecting mothers, sisters, or daughters should that mother, sister, daughter or 'Queen'  have the misfortune to trust the wrong fatherly type of 'brotha' early in the morning, at noon, or late at night when that fatherly brotha offers them something to drink.

I'm not going to be silent anytime, anywhere for those say "Queen" then routinely go about throwing me and mine under the bus.  I have tire tracks up and down my back and across my forehead. I'm done.

Dear Rapists Who Don't Consider Themselves Such,

Your days are numbered.

Your raping days are numbered

Your covering for your rapist pals are numbered

The black men that actually deserve to be called  black MEN are slowly standing up to be counted, leaving some of you out in the little boy wanna-be-rapist cold.

The black men that actually deserve to be called black MEN are going to claim "Silence Is Violence" as their mantra too.

* * * * *

Those who would say "Well Nobody's Perfect!!!" please save that nonsense for the next time a black man is beaten bloody by a white man.

Those who would say, "What about Stephen [white guy actor] who's a pedophile?" I say, "What about him?" Bleach your skin and move into whiteness if you wanna worry about how he is or is not being dragged and how much danger you're in. I'm not thinking about the white pedophile accusations because I already know those living comfortably inside white supremacy are out to get me.

What I'm worried about now are the black people who will drive a knife into my back, through my body, and out of my chest if I dare to step off the Queen pedestal by having a drink late at night with someone black and male and not related to me then dare to accuse that black man of rape just because that black man raped me.  (It is beyond me how anybody can ask why 2/3rds(?) of these women didn't come forward sooner. They are being cut to pieces at time when Cosby isn't on top anymore.)

On Forgiveness:  I believe anybody can be forgiven anything ...even if I can't do it all the time myself. (Pedophiles and rapists are two examples.) Sometimes I can only pray for the willingness to be forgiving.  So I can say in all seriousness that I hope Bill Cosby finds peace AFTER he comes clean about what he's done (a.k.a. repentance), but not one second before then --same as I feel about certain white folks and white-supremacy-guzzling-wanna-be-s.

One day, black people are going to stand up for black women just like they do for black men. From what I'm reading, we've been a lot closer to this being the case immediately after slavery than now. But I hope the editors at "Ebony" magazine have just taken one little baby step back in the right direction.
