Apparently, Symone was driving a boyfriend's car when the car flipped. Symone and a friend were arrested when cocaine was found in the car. That explains the arrest but this doesn't explain why the women weren't taken to a hospital regardless of how they originally said they felt -- the car flipped over.
Even if they said they didn't need medical attention at the scene -- the car flipped over.
Later, Symone didn't feel well. A real hospital, instead of a whatever doctor they have at the jail, was in order.
This woman still might have died. Doctors can't always see internal injuries no matter what equipment they use. Her body had been through a lot. But x-rays and MRIs etc should have to be taken when you pull someone out of a car that's flipped over.
It seems to me that this is common decency, even if you think the person is addicted to drugs.
This black life mattered, drug user or not.

"...Marshall’s family claims McRae and his staff ignored her cries for medical help.
[Walker Texas County Sheriff] Clint McRae however, says Marshall did not die due to negligence.
“What I want to make very serious is that you understand there is absolutely no reason at all to think that the death of Ms. Marshall was caused by anything other than a health related issue,” McRae, who has over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, told NewsOne.
McRae asked people to be patient while investigators try to determine what happened.
