Remember Walter Scott? He was the black man gunned down by South Carolina Cop Michael Slager as he ran away from a police officer after being challenged over a minor traffic infraction. The video of Scott's death proved he had good reason to run. Not only did the officer shoot Walter Scott in the back, the video of the shooting which surfaced a few days later, appeared to show Slager planting evidence on Scott's dead body --evidence that likely would have supported a claim of self defense.
Ex Police Officer Slager's attorney has successfully removed all but one black person from the jury that will judge the ex-policeman's guilt. Not only are 11 out of 12 jurors white, two-thirds of the alternate jurors are white as well.
The prosecutor appears to have briefly objected to Slager's attorney removing black people from the jury. But they dropped their objection when the judge deemed the defense team's motivation "race-neutral."

The defense attorney was trying to get the video of Walter Scott's death excluded as well.
