The Daily Show, where Noah took over for Jon Stewart, got record ratings last month. And Comedy Central has announced an hour long election night special. Trevor is going to go on live on election night at 11PM.
Below is an excerpt from an interview he did promoting his new book. Worth a quick read. It's always interesting to hear about America from a woke, black outsider.
"America is the place that always seems to treat the symptoms and not the cause. In South Africa, we’re very good at trying to go for the cause of racism. One thing that really never happened here, which is strange to me, was a period where white America had to reconcile with what it had done to black Americans.
What’s scary is how many [white] people don’t realize that racism is written into your system in America. We had a very simple, blatant system. You could see where the tumor was, and you could cut it out.
In America, the tumor masquerades as an organ, and you don’t know which parts to cut out because it’s hard to convince [white] people that there’s a problem in the first place."

P.S. The reason this country has so many problems identifying the central piece of its [white] racism problem is because the [white] people in power keep separating the racist symptoms from the dominant culture's primary identity = "white"
Don't go looking to the article expecting any details on Liberal White Hatred and how its different from conservative white hatred. That's not there.
It's almost like the title captured above goes with another article because the editor hacked the original article to bits so as not to offend [white] people by naming [white] people when talking about the huge denial that's at the core of [white] racism. There's nothing about liberal whites left in the original article. It's like the powers that be at the news outlet forgot to change the title.
