Southern California white nationalist leaders arrested; private messages reveal effort to 'reimagine' movement

Feeling Rebloggy

[Robert Rundo and three others of The Rise Above Movement were all] charged with traveling to incite or participate in riots, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles...
Federal authorities said the group was founded in late 2016 or early 2017 by Rundo and Daley, originally branded as “DIY DIVISION.”
The group grew in numbers through use of social media, on which they coordinated combat training before political events and bragged about the violence to recruit members.
Posts include video clips of members assaulting people at political events, their faces covered by distinctive skeleton or U.S. flag masks. In one February post, the group posted a photo of members covering their faces with books, along with the text: “When the squads not out smashing commies . . . #nationalist #lifestyle...”
By the way, the Orange Menace of White House fame described himself as a nationalist this week too, while in Texas...where that sort of thing goes over very well.

Earlier this year, I complained that the white dominated mainstream news media leaves the "white" out when commenting on white supremacists call themselves "white nationalists," opting to shorten the description to "nationalist."

I hereby withdraw my complaint.

If the "white" is understood without it being stated by somebody as lame-brained as Trump then everybody understands that "nationalist" is short for "white nationalist" no matter what lie Agent Orange Menace comes up with in order to cover up his true white supremacist leanings.
