Impeachment is gaining ground because it is the only way to get him out, and because Republicans are already deserting this president in droves, and because the man is psychiatrically incapable of checking whether something is legal before he does it.
Impeachment is gaining ground because it’s so horribly clear that Trump is unfit for office. The grownups around Trump, even the most slavishly loyal ones, spend half their time trying to rein him in, but it can’t be done.
They spend the other half fielding frantic calls from Republican chieftains, business elites and foreign leaders. Trump did what?

I don't know if impeachment is inevitable. I think it almost has to be. But I've been wrong before.
I was certain two dozen dead white children in Sandy Hook would be the death knell to the gun lobby; black and brown people I talk to about Sandy Hook are 10 times as upset about the death of those babies then dang near any white republican you talk to.
But I think American greed for money and power are on my side this time. Like I said before, Trump is hitting at the one-percenters on both sides of the aisle. If anybody will come together and bring the congressman they own together (through campaign contributions) it's the one percent.
Trump's cronies have to be starting to see him as unstable. Republican moderates certainly have. McCain and Graham, both republicans have made statements against Trump in the last 48 hours. Still, the wheels haven't come off the republican cart yet. Not yet. Again, you'll know when the stock market starts to tumble.
I think Trump's an idiot that was too big to fail in civilian life as a rich white man because he had business dealings with other rich people who made sure they didn't lose their OWN money when working with him. (Chump's strategic bankruptcies don't count as him failing-- Chump is still rich.) I don't know that too-big-to-fail will work while he's president. The republicans around him are not going to be able to prop him up like his business associates likely did.
Don The Con's seeking power and money this time. And part of the power Don The Con likes is applause from the Cheeto Satan-ettes. He loves their applause like a heroine addict loves heroine. So if Cheeto's inner circle is going to have to get smarter than Flynn, Bannon, and Kelly Ann Conning-Us-All-The-Way if he's going to stay President.
And then Chump would have to get smart enough to listen to a smarter inner circle.
HAH!!!
As of today, I hear Cheeto and the Upper Level Satan-ettes finally figured out they needed to life the green card ban. I think the one-percenters described yesterday probably settled right down.
But Chump is dumb. He's planning strike three for the one-percenters as we speak. I can feel it.

The thing that's scaring me most right now are the precedents being set. HAH!!!

I don't think we've seen anything like what's happening right now.
We have a president who is making up things and signing illegal (?) executive orders, illegal(?) because they weren't even close to constitutional (He had to double back and allow green card holders in)
Trump accidentally(?) created a situation where federal and state agencies were saying we're not going to follow this illegal law.
Let me say it again: Various state and federal organizations have said, "We're not doing" X.
And while I applaud them not doing things that are immoral and creating sanctuary cities, there's somebody smarter and more devious than Trump or Pence sitting in shadows figuring out just how far they can go toward getting various pieces of our state and federal governments to turn on each other.
I don't think the United States is going to break today or tomorrow. But Trump just proved that it CAN. And it will eventually, all world powers that think they are invincible eventually do. The thing I know now is that it'll be sudden.
All these funny little Cal-Exit in 2017 and Texas leaving the Union during President Obama's tenure may be seen a precursors of the end in history books written 100 years from now.
For now, we need to figure out who is going to replace Chump or who is going to be running the country instead of Chump if they can:
1) tape his mouth shut, 2) take away his executive order signing pen, 3) and close his twitter account.
I guess 1, 2, and 3 are impossible. So maybe impeachment is the only path left available to us?
