But will democrats know what to do with those seats, cowardly as they are?
Pennsylvania's state government just said the way their voting districts are drawn up are unconstitutional. This drawing of the maps so as to make sure each section is dominated by republicans has had the effect of getting republicans multiple seats in the House of Representatives while the state is predominantly democratic. One district is so misshapen, so as to make republicans the dominant voting force within it, that it looks like a rough horseshoe with Italy glued to it.
The lines have to be redrawn in February.
Since this is a state issue, it may not go to Trump's stolen supreme court.
The redrawing of the maps may give the Democrats 6 more seats in the House all by itself.
But my question is this: How is it the republicans are SUCCESSFUL at Gerrymandering in a state where folks registered as democrats dominate? That is, why aren't the democrats either gerrymandering-too or fighting this tooth and nail in court.
Or is this win against republicans in Pennsylvania a symbol of this invisible gerrymandering battle?
