The movie "Hidden Figures," will be based on a book of the same name that's due out next year. It is about three unsung heroes,  a group of Black American Female math wizards, sometimes referred to as "human computers," who helped NASA win the space race. 

The story follows Katherine Jackson, Mary Johnson, and Dorothy Vaughn, the three women who served as the brains behind NASA’s Friendship 7 mission, which saw astronaut John Glenn become the first American to orbit the Earth in February 1962.

PUERTO RICO GOVERNOR SUCCESSFULLY STOPS WHITEFISH DEAL

Apparently, Puerto Rico's Governor has successfully stopped a donor to Trump's campaign from getting richer off Puerto Rico's problems.  (Read the first story here:     )

Puerto Rico's state-run electric utility said Sunday that it has accepted the governor's request to immediately cancel a $300 million contract with a small Montana-based energy firm amid mounting controversy over the deal, according to media reports.

Ricardo Ramos, the island's energy authority executive director, announced the decision during a press conference, according to ABC News.

These rich whites are clowning smaller contractors (probably also white too). But that's just a small sample of the big picture. 

These white people that voted for Trump are never going to get it. But white supremacy is simply a method used by the white one-percenters to split the white middle class and poor from the rest of the middle class and poor. And the white one-percenters have been doing this since slavery.

DID BLACK WOMEN TAKE OUT THE CAREER OF CHRISETTE MICHELE IN 9 MONTHS?

Chrisette Michele announced that she's been dropped by her record label after being kicked to the curb by black folks, mostly black women fans, because she decided to support Donald Trump by singing at his inauguration.

Do you remember how difficult it was for Trump's people to find somebody to perform at his inauguration?

For a while his organization was looking for somebody, anybody to sing at his inauguration. It got embarrassing because a lot of people said no. A couple of white groups that said "yes" initially changed their minds when fans went nuts. 

Eventually, DaChump's camp found a couple white performers who don't mind ethnoracism and misogyny that much. But then they still had to make the inauguration look less like a nationalistic white supremacist rally, so they started looking for black performers.

According to reports, Kanye was never even asked, despite his buddying-up to Trump. Apparently Kanye's very black style weren't seen as "traditionally" American enough. (Apparently rap scares nationalistic white supremacists. They think there's embedded code for storm the all massa-wanna-be-s' 

mansions and all the expensive econo-box-homes owned by white folk in the suburbs) 

Time passed and Trump's people wound up talking to Chrisette Michele's people. And Michele agreed to sing for him, though it wasn't at the inauguration at self.

• Chrisette Michele decided to go sing for a president who tried to have 5 teenagers, black and latino kids, put to death for a rape they didn’t commit. This man still called for their deaths 20 years later after DNA evidence exonerated them and the real rapist confessed. 

• Long before his reprehensible behavior with the Central Park 5, he was sued for trying to keep black people from renting his properties. 

• About a decade ago, he started that birther crap with President Obama and continued saying President Obama wasn't really born here throughout his campaign. And his white supremacist followers are actually stupid enough to want to think it's possible someone who wasn't born here was allowed to become president.

• One of the first things the Racist-In-Chief did was appoint a Supreme Court Justice who had recently, as a federal judge, that a black man, Alphonse Maddin, should have stayed with his broken down truck and allowed himself to die in the snow when it was 14 degrees below zero outside -- in order to avoid being fired. 

• Since that appointment, this president said some of those “blood and soil” chanting Alt-Right Neo Nazi’s in Charlottesville were “good people” And Trump still has at least one Alt-Right-er in the White House right now.

This only describes a fraction of how this man has proven himself an enemy of black people, brown people, and half-way conscious women.

Yet Chrisette Michele supported this person and has yet to apologize for performing for this lowlife, someone who would just as soon see black folks dead or destroyed. I'm surprised he doesn't have a Black Lives Don't Matter t-shirt to go with that red Make America White Again cap he loved so much during his campaign. This is who she supported.

And for what? Prestige? It had to have been greed for some kind of power or publicity because she didn’t get paid THAT much.

It was her decision to support Trump. We, as black women made the decision to stop buying her music almost instantly. Since I think we were main ones buying her music, I think we as black women can claim we are the ones that destroyed Michele’s career in about 9 months.

And I’m proud of that. PROUD. 

Black men, and the PICK-ME-s that follow them, oughta be ashamed of not having done the same to R. Kelly, Chris Brown, and frankly Kanye too.

I am truly sorry about her miscarriage. And I am glad she’s not suicidal anymore, if that actually happened and wasn't just a ploy for sympathy. But even if these two personal tragedies did occur it seems easy to see how manipulative she might be by sharing this deeply personal information at the same time as she informs the world that she's been dropped by her record label.

There's a lot of yuck factor here no matter what she went through.

Any way I slice it, the phrase “All my skinfolk ain’t my kinfolk” most definitely applies to this self-serving, know-nothing who hasn’t even come close to apologizing. 

I hope Lady Emptyhead McGreedy-Soul disappears into oblivion where she belongs and lives happily ever after doing real estate or something else out of the public eye.

A recent poll published in the New York Times has found that over half of white people in America believe that they’re being discriminated against.  

Yes, you read that right. 55% of white folk in the States believe that they’re mistreated by society because of their skin colour. 

To recap, this is a country where: 

• Slavery was around for 245 years,  

• followed by over 100 years of official and unofficial segregation  

• 34% of the prison population is black 45.8% of young black children live in poverty 

• 1,064 racially motivated incidents were reported in the first months after Trump was elected 

• 25% of those killed by the police are black – despite Afro Americans only making up 13% of the population  

(for things as small as being "sassy"

and you don't jump quick enough.

First, let me be clear in addressing my lack of bother for your grievance and resolve to not be coerced to remedial action by your idle threats or seemingly pervasive white tears. I, the tenant in apartment 6-J, having secured this rental property through earnings / made and credit / earned, have no inherent or expressly stated obligation to accommodate your hyper-sensitivities, or those of your spouse when occupying my home. Though I empathized with the emotional distress brought on by sleep deprivation, citing my voice as the root-cause for your incapacity to attain restful slumber is both improbable and juvenile....

Second, your lack of both interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence reflects poorly on you as a neighbor, and frankly an American... As a Black man, I take these overt actions as a direct threat to my physical and psychological well-being and as an act of violence upon me (See attached list of 821 men, women, and children killed by police or in police custody to date in 2016). This threat cannot be taken lightly. To that end, I am submitting my formal complaint to both the New York City Police Department, the American Civil Liberties Union and the District Community Board so that they are made aware of your callous and irrational threats upon my person....

Two women accused Bush  of groping them. He apologized both times. Then there was a statement seemed to say he's "used to" sexually harassing women without using the words "sexual harassment."

So when they said Bush was "used to" giving women "friendly pats" on the buttocks were they saying he sexually blackmailed so many women there's no point in dozens and dozens more coming forward to say he did it?

On a scale of 1 to 10 maybe this is 2 or 3, with something close to fear of rape being a 10. (I'm making this scale up on the fly. Pardon me) But the thing men that have abused their power don't get is that women have to wonder how far up the scale she's going to have to go, what's she's going to have to put up with to keep on making her living. 

Men like Bush will never decide that they contributed to the environment that enabled Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby to exist.  I don't know if men are getting it yet, but damn near every woman has been touched and fondled sexually by some asshole who knew he could get away with it. 

The silent blackmail is always there with sexual harassment. Whether the harassment is mild or strong, the black mail is always there.

It's no coincidence that 57% of white people voted for Trump.  in fact, if I had a time machine, I'd bet you a million dollars the entire 57% of whites would be willing to say White Americans face discrimination.

This is what happens when you have white privilege, see it as normal and something you're entitled to, and are willing to kill to keep it.

If I had the same time machine, I'd be willing to bet ya another million that 95% of whites would have said the same thing the day after the Civil War ended.

And I bet up to 70% would have the same thing at the end of The Civil Rights Movement too.  

And if you took the time machine back to the end of Ronald Reagan's reign of terror in the 1980s, you'd see that the number of whiny white folks crying about their inability quasi-enslave black folks and get them to bow and scrape back up to 85% again.

You know that's why Sandra Bland was arrested right? Failure to bow and scrape. 

You know that's why she's dead and a lot of white people think she deserves to be dead, right? 

You know that's why the man who arrested her, lied about his actions, created the circumstances of her death walked away. White folks understood that Sandra Bland should have been bowing and scraping. 

This is what it takes for white folks to NOT feel discriminated against. 

So the number of white people feeling discriminated against is all the way down to 55% Wow! I guess you could say white people, as a group, are making improvements on their white racism at a glacial speed.

The rest of us should see at least 10% improvement of white racism no later than January 1, 2957.

Guillaume died at home Tuesday in Los Angeles, according to his widow, Donna Brown Guillaume. He had been battling prostate cancer...

Among Guillaume's achievements was playing Nathan Detroit in the first all-black version of "Guys and Dolls," earning a Tony nomination in 1977. He became the first African-American to sing the title role of "Phantom of the Opera," appearing with an all-white cast in Los Angeles...

While playing in "Guys and Dolls, he was asked to test for the role of an acerbic butler of a governor's mansion in "Soap," a primetime TV sitcom that satirized soap operas...The character became so popular that ABC was persuaded to launch a spinoff, simply called "Benson," which lasted from 1979 to 1986. The series made Guillaume wealthy and famous, but he regretted that Benson's wit had to be toned down to make him more appealing as the lead star....

The career of Robert Guillaume almost ended in January 1999 at Walt Disney Studio. He was appearing in the TV series "Sports Night" as Isaac Jaffee, executive producer of a sports highlight show. JIMMY CARTER DISAPPOINTS AND DEFENDS TRUMP IN INTERVIEW

I'm really disappointed him. I thought of him as an "actively, constantly recovering white supremacist" He pretty much identified himself as such, years ago.

And I know it's not likely he sees himself that way now because white people tend to think there's an end-date on such a recovery, to such self-examination. There isn't, not for white people in a country where power imbalance so largely tipped in their favor.

I really thought Jimmy Carter was better than this -- by a lot.

"And although the former president said Trump was exacerbating racial tensions, Carter also repeatedly defended the current president:

• He said although Trump may be contributing to the souring of America's image in the world, the declining image of America "precedes Trump."

• Carter was not as bothered by Trump's relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and disagreed with his wife about the impact of Russia's meddling in the 2016 election, saying "I don't think there's any evidence that what the Russians did changed enough votes, or any votes."

• Carter claimed that the "media have been harder on Trump than any other president certainly that I've known about," saying that reporters felt "free to claim that Trump is mentally deranged and everything else without hesitation."

Some political pundits on the Sunday morning talk shows speculated whether Carter was positioning himself for a job in Trump's administration by complimenting the president in the press.

His criticism of Obama's foreign policy may be legit. But his defense of TrumpleRacistSkin is not. his bringing up Obama's foreign policy while Trump is trying to start WWIII with his ignorant mouth is not legit either.

I'm really disappointed Carter. 

However, when I read he said he voted for Bernie? I understood exactly which section of white supremacy he was speaking from -- the liberal, excuse-making, white-supremacy-enabling section. 

He's a part of that group that still  chooses to believe white people voted for Trump because they were "white working class" (which studies have been been disproved again and again since the election)
