Country Music Festival = high percentage of white people
Last night, before the shooter was identified and it was becoming clear at least 2 dozen white people were dead, I was actually frightened for black and brown folks. After every racist thing Trump's said and implied before, a lot of people were scared.
The violent nasty rhetoric that has come out of Trump followers after things like the Orlando Shooting and Trump's own tendency start flapping his gums (or his twitter account) about Muslims any time anything violent happens.
In fact, if this shooting had occurred earlier in the day, we'd probably have a tweet accusing Muslims with 1/10th the facts.
Black and brown people have good reason to be afraid of this White House.

I was going to wait "a decent interval"
before writing on this,
but "decent intervals" don't exist
when black people are mowed down
in places like Chicago
...where black men are enabled to execute

at alarming rates by the police's
72% unsolved murder rate
WHICH
goes undiscussed as a major factor
in Chicago's deaths of African Americans.
The same 10 boys/men could be shooting damn near everybody. Who the hell knows with a 72% unsolved murder rate?
Besides, the time to discuss black and brown fears of white racism is always NOW.
